Audrey Hepburn
Posted on April 12, 2011 by Ching under Babies.
This is the rose plant that Jay and Becca gave us as a gift for helping them set up their booth at the bridal show on Sunday. It was totally unexpected. We were more than happy to help and we had a lot of fun doing it. It wasn’t like a chore that we had to do or anything. They decided to do something nice and surprise us with a plant anyway, which was truly super nice of them.
The timing was perfect too because we’re having a heck of a time reviving Chi-Chi. I think she might truly be dead. 🙁
As with all of our plants, we had to give the new one a name. Jay recommended Audrey after the plant in Little Shop of Horrors. I was thinking more like Audrey Hepburn, one of my favorite actresses, because the plant is beautiful just like her. Thank you for our new rose plant, Jay and Becca! You guys are the best!

Jay and Becca’s First Bridal Show
Posted on April 12, 2011 by Ching under Events.
Jay takes on the world. Well, maybe just a bridal show.
Jay and Becca needed help transporting their stuff (boxes upon boxes of brochures and other marketing materials) to the Hyatt for the bridal show on Sunday so helped by loading the cargo on the bed of the Flip and Ching mobile.
I tracked down a flatbed cart for us so that we didn’t have to make several trips back and forth between the ballroom and the truck. I was feeling pretty pleased with myself so I told Jay that I bet when they asked us to help they didn’t realize they were getting not just “brawns” but brains too. Brian being the “brawns” and me being the brains. LOL. That turned out to be the quote of the day. Jay kept making fun of me the rest of the time for saying “brawns.”
Oh, the irony! Imagine the supposed brains of the operation speaking broken English. Then again, I’m foreign so I have an excuse. What’s yours? LOL.
Setting up the booth was actually a lot of fun.
The boxes and the brochures ended up getting lint all over the black tablecloth so I had another brilliant idea and got a couple of lint mitts from the concierge desk.
We used them to de-lint the table. And here you thought all I did was take pictures. I helped too. 🙂
Check out the finished product. Great booth, right?
Here’s Jay, the proud papa of a bouncing, baby booth. I love documenting firsts. When the Travel Junkie takes off, we’re going to look upon this day in history and we will remember — Ching blogged it. LOL.

Jay’s Birthday
Posted on April 11, 2011 by Ching under Events.
We had a great time celebrating Jay’s birthday at the Phelpi’s the other day. Here are some photo highlights…
Ronnie and Jay playing Ladder Golf
Jay and his birthday mug
Brian loved Ashlee’s shirt. It reads, “I’m not SHORT. I’m FUN-SIZED!” Ironically, I think that little girl is actually taller than me. I need that shirt! LOL.
Jay’s birthday cake
She’s a cutie!
Ashlee and Ashton with Addison
Jay wanted to eat his head.

Brian and I didn’t drink until after he delivered the Germans and the Passat at the Hyatt safely. I picked him up at the hotel and we returned to the party. Several people had already left by then, but the party was just getting started for us.
Brian and I didn’t fare well at poker, but I kicked butt at Tekken. LOL. I think at one point I had a 10-game winning streak. The guys couldn’t beat me and my Christie Montero. 😉

Spring 2011 Parade of Homes
Posted on April 10, 2011 by Ching under Things to Do.
When I win the lottery, I’m buying this house — or one that looks exactly like it.
I love, love, love houses that back up to water. I think it would be really neat to live in Harbor Isle. But a small lake or pond like this one with a fountain would be good enough.
Now, this is a patio that’s fit for a party!
Brian and Misty in my dream shower. LOL.
I didn’t really get to take too many pictures this year because we didn’t have much time. I had step and Zumba in the morning, followed by brunch at The Good Egg, then we only had about a couple of hours to look at the Parade of Homes houses. We had to drop off the Ladder Golf set at Cory and April’s earlier in the afternoon (which took longer than I expected). Anyway, it didn’t seem like we missed much because many of the houses were the same ones that were in the Fall 2010 Parade of Homes.
If you haven’t already checked out the Spring Parade of Homes and this is your cup of tea, fear not as the there’s one more weekend. Enjoy!

Yet Another Zumba Addict
Posted on April 10, 2011 by Ching under Health, Zumba.
I’m not the only one addicted to Zumba fitness gear. Check out Tony in his new Zumba sneakers and cargo pants! Very cool, no?
We had a great workout in Gina Ann’s class yesterday. Brian and I got there late because I have to come from Andover YMCA, where my regular Saturday morning step class is held. I usually miss the the warmup. Even with missing the warmup, I still managed 6375 steps. My CardioTrainer app figured that the 54-minute workout was equivalent to 3.96 miles. Add that to the 3.56 miles from my step class and I burned about 900 calories in one day. That’s not even counting the calories I burned playing Ladder Golf and kicking everyone’s butt at Tekken later that day. LOL.
BTW, speaking of steps… I hit a new record high today for Zumba. At the end of Amy’s class, my CardioTrainer app recorded over 8800 steps and figured that my workout was equivalent to 5.5 miles. Wow! It must have been all the booty shaking that we did (I had my phone in my back pocket). 🙂
