…in awkward, compromising positions…
My abs are still hurting from yesterday’s ab workout. Damn you, Amie!

Congratulations, Mark and Jarrica!
Posted on May 20, 2012 by Ching under Events.
Brian and I had the honor of attending Mark and Jarrica’s wedding last night at Eberly Farms. It was a beautiful, Hawaiian-themed event. Mark and Jarrica make a wonderful couple and we are very happy for them.
Mark and Jarrica,
May you have many memorable years together and may the honeymoon never end!
Best wishes,
Flip and Ching
P.S. I have to give Jarrica props for their wedding program. It is the most creative one that I’ve ever seen. Fabulous job, girlie!

Sweet Granada in Emporia, Kansas
Posted on May 18, 2012 by Ching under Food and Drink.
Truffles!
Fudge!
More tasty treats!
Those chocolate covered pretzel sticks are super yummy!
Also, I thought the chocolate numbers were a clever idea. Next time someone has a birthday, I’m putting chocolate numbers on the cake instead of candle numbers because you can at least eat the chocolate numbers. I guess you could eat the candles too, but they probably wouldn’t be very tasty.
This is what I ended up taking home with me. I was amazed that I managed to refrain from buying everything in sight. I’m definitely stopping by Sweet Granada again next time I have a meeting in Emporia.

Bobby D’s in Emporia, Kansas
Posted on May 17, 2012 by Ching under Food and Drink, Reviews.
I had the opportunity to eat at Bobby D’s for the first time after our meeting in Emporia yesterday. So glad that Roger recommended it because their food is tasty. Here are some pictures to make your mouth water…
Darcy and Jan both had pulled pork.
I normally order pulled pork at most BBQ places, but I opted for the brisket this time because it had rave reviews on FourSquare. It was delicious. I didn’t regret ordering it.
I also ordered the cheesy potatoes because it’s one of their specialties, or so the menu indicated. It was pretty yummy. We had lunch so late and I ate so much that I didn’t feel like eating dinner last night. LOL. Oh, well.
