Surviving the GMAT

Posted on May 20, 2006 by under School.

DSC00984.jpgGMAT is finally done!  I took it this morning and managed to score a 600 with very minimal preparation.  Minimal as in, I didn’t study at all.  I just took two practice tests.  That’s all I did.

Eat your heart out, Chad! That’s for making worry and stress over a stupid test!

I guess I could say that if I had the luxury of time (which I didn’t because the application deadline for fall is June 1st) I would’ve studied for the test for the recommended four weeks — but who wants to do that?  Even if I had the time, I don’t think I would’ve.  So I think I was better of rushing to get the test scheduled and out of the way.

Anyway, the only thing left on my grad school admission to do list is to write my personal goals statement essay. You all know what that will be about — world domination, of course!  Did you expect anything less?

Once I get my essay completed (shouldn’t be too tough as I am an accomplished marathon blogger with years of experience — ask Mr. Duncan), I just need to mail it, along with the most recent version of my resume, to the grad school and I am set.

Well, the hard part comes next.  Looking for money to fund my grad school education.  They say the GMAT is challenging, but looking for a benefactor who will pay your way — that’s definitely tougher!
