The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Widescreen Edition)

Brian and I just finished watching The Chronicles of Narnia.  It’s a great adventure movie!  I had to keep from crying a couple of times.  Anyway, if you haven’t seen it yet you really should.

Speaking of chronicles, testimonials from friends are a great way to chronicle life experiences.  Sometimes I look back at the 28 years that I’ve lived this life and I am amazed at all the transformations I’ve undergone.

You all know I’ve participated in the online social networking thing since before it was cool.  I think Friendster started it all, and I’ve been on their site since early 2003.  I’ve pretty much neglected my Friendster page until recently when I’ve decided to rejuvenate it by adding pictures of our babies and trying to reconnect with old schoolmates.

Anyway, I thought I would share some of my old testimonials with you all so you’ll gain a better insight to my personality and how I’ve evolved over the years.

I’ve known Ching since 1st grade and she hasn’t changed much… height wise! hahaha… Though we haven’t seen each other for sooooo long we still keep in touch and all I can say is that she’s still the same person that she was back then… bubbly, energetic, thoughtful and gorgeous! =) [from Lea]

Cherrie? huh! She’s crazy and a spontaneous woman. We used to work out together at Genesis, and that’s right we used to go to school together at freaking WSU, and oh yeah, we used to work together at Spiegel, and go clubbing wherever and party like rock stars, and oh remember our trip in South Padre Island? You, my lil bro, and I? heheheheh..that was fun..that was like when Cherrie was getting bicurious when meeting some hot girls from Ohio.hehehehehe:) Ne ways, she’s a great friend..she’s finally settled down, that’s why I had to settle down and finally married and having a baby on Febuary..when are you going to have one girl? lol Divina [from Divina]

It was one boring evening when I did a search for Ska websites and found Chingay’s little page on the world wide web. It filled my innocence with an intro to two-tone and filipino bands like Put3Ska. Later on she introduced me to this thing called BLOGS which I quickly absorbed and made one for myself. Now she has introduced me to yet a new phenom called Friendster. What will the internet provide next that Ching will show me? All I can say is thanks for keeping me in the know and I wish you luck in your college endeavours now that you are back in school. Cheers! [from Vince]

Chingay is mah net goddess!!! our goLden sushi creator! woo-hoo*_* iVe aLways been computer iLLiterate, but w/her guidance i actuaLLee kno sum schtuff dat’LL disguise meeh high-techie. iM sooo bLessed i met this sexXxy momma… heehee*_* [from AJ]

Chingay is the epitome of a webgoddess. She taught me everything I know about creating websites, photologs, vanity sites etc. She’s super funny. There is never a dull moment with her. I had one of the greatest opportunities to see her and Brian in their lovely wedding and I was completely speechless and in awe of how much in love they are of each other. Super inggit ako sa inyo Ching! You’re both one of a kind. I had so much fun visiting you both. Sana kayo din punta dito sa Frisco. Anyhow, thanks for everything! My life would have been really boring without you and of course Blogger. 🙂 Lab yah! [from Pia]

Cherrie!!! one of the few that i will never forget. she is the coolest nerd around! hehehe:) she’s a great listener, and talker. a petit girl girl with a BIG HEART:) i love her smile! [from Jane]

Chingay… a computer wizard and a web maniac. A very reliable person… loves ultimately. She has a very kind heart and a lot of people love her. She cracks up easily and she can mingle with different types of personality. Never afraid to try adventures yet a very passionate woman… with intelligence. I love her and she remains the best friend I ever had. [from Sheryll]

This morning at lunch, Jen mentioned that she had uneathered one of my old zines.  Lindsay mentioned something about this too last Saturday.  The zines were something that I did to channel my creativity (and boredom) ten years ago.  Which reminds me — Jen, if you read this, save that one zine you have and let’s convert it to Adobe PDF so we can share it with everyone.  Just don’t make fun of the weird Ching.  I know, you all think I’m still weird, but I was a hundred times more weird then.  Trust me.

Anyway, I think it’s interesting to see yourself from the eyes of other people.  It’s safe to say that I am not the same person that Sheryll knew, or Divina knew, or Vince knew..  But maybe some of those facets survive within me.. Who knows?  Nonetheless, it’s always good to reflect because through reflection and self-awareness comes growth.
