High School Reunion

I just found out today that my ten year high school reunion is going to be on August 12th, the week of our wedding anniversary. I guess I should be glad that it is this year instead of next because next year Brian and I plan on celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary by going on another cruise. I haven’t decided yet if I will attend. I thought that I should, specially since Brian was not invited to his ten year high school reunion. I figured that this would be a great opportunity for him to experience the whole high school reunion thing, albeit vicariously through me. He will still experience it nonetheless. Obviously, fact that it falls on our anniversary week (and you know how Brian and I like to spend a whole week celebrating) is of concern but not as great a concern as the fact that I don’t really talk to anyone I went to high school with. I don’t know any of these people. I don’t think they know me either. I mean, they all attended grade school and middle school together. I only attended Derby for two years (my junior and senior years). I didn’t really have any close friends so if I do not attend, I probably won’t be missed. So I don’t know if it’s even worth going. What do you guys think? Any opinions? Why is the peanut gallery so suprisingly silent all of a sudden?
