Now With an Official Soundtrack

Posted on December 13, 2009 by under Life.

Pop-Out Player

Don’t worry. It’s not set to AUTOPLAY mode so you don’t have to scramble to hit your computer’s mute button. I know how annoying it can be to have music instantly play when you open a page so I figured I wouldn’t subject you all to that.

If you want music, it’s there. If you want peace and quiet, then you don’t have to turn it on. I hope this works for everyone.

How to turn on the music? Simply look for the embedded Playlist in the sidebar section (after all of the sponsor links) and click on the play button. Please note that this feature is only available on the main page. So if you navigate to an individual post or move away from this page, then the music will stop.

If you want to listen our soundtrack as you browse the web, click on the Pop-Out Player link (right below the play button). As long as this window is open in the background, then you can surf away while the music plays.

Notice that the first song is “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” by The Script. Here’s the lyrics so you can sing along…

Going back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag
I’m not gonna move
Got some words on cardboard
Got your picture in my hand
Saying, “if you see this girl
Can you tell her where I am”

Some try to hand me money
They don’t understand
I’m not broke
I’m just a broken-hearted man
I know it makes no sense
But what else can I do
How can I move on
When I’m still in love with you

Cause if one day you wake up and find that you’re missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinkin’ maybe you’ll come back here to the place that we’d meet
And you’ll see me waiting for you on the corner of the street
So I’m not moving
I’m not moving

Policeman says, “son you can’t stay here”
I said, “there’s someone I’m waiting for
If it’s a day, a month, a year”
Gotta stand my ground
Even if it rains or snows
If she changes her mind
This is the first place she will go

Cause if one day you wake up and find that you’re missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinkin’ maybe you’ll come back here to the place that we’d meet
And you’ll see me waiting for you on the corner of the street
So I’m not moving
I’m not moving
I’m not moving
I’m not moving

People talk about the guy
That’s waiting on a girl
There are no holes in his shoes
But a big hole in his world

Maybe I’ll get famous as the man who can’t be moved
Maybe you wont mean to but you’ll see me on the news
And you’ll come running to the corner
Cause you’ll know it’s just for you
I’m the man who can’t be moved
I’m the man who can’t be moved

Cause if one day you wake up and find that you’re missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinkin’ maybe you’ll come back here to the place that we’d meet
And you’ll see me waiting for you on the corner of the street
So I’m not moving
I’m not moving

Cause if one day you wake up and find you’re missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinkin’ maybe you’ll come back here to the place that we’d meet
And you’ll see me waiting for you on the corner of the street

Going back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag
I’m not gonna move

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Posted on December 12, 2009 by under Videos.

Just in case you missed it, here’s a clip from the Victoria’s Secret fashion show on CBS. Enchanted Forest was my favorite segment.

Does anyone know what this song is?

Nevermind. I got it. It’s “The Man Who Can’t be Moved” by The Script.

Brian’s Visit with the Eye Doctor

Posted on December 12, 2009 by under Health, Life.

I went to the eye doctor with Brian yesterday. Here he is filling out paperwork.

It was our first visit there so there were a ton of papers to complete. I think we will go there from now on because it’s so close to both of our workplaces.

Brian’s eyes were dilated so they gave him these paper shades.

They actually stay on your head pretty well.

The eye doctor said that Brian’s eye is fine. Thank heavens! I guess it just needs a few days to heal. Now I’m wondering if I should get my skull checked. The dent from when Brian hit my head over a week ago is still there. It might never pop back out. I think my head is permanently deformed. Who would have thought that such a hardheaded person like myself would have a soft skull? LOL.

When playing racquetball, protective eyewear is not only recommended (see #3) — it is a must. Just ask Brian. LOL.

Darcy’s Swanky New Pad

Posted on December 9, 2009 by under Life.

Darcy's new place at Rumley

Darcy went to pick up the key to her apartment today. Since it is only two minutes from work, we decided to stop by. She had shown be pictures of the unit, but the pictures don’t really do the place justice. The loft is amazing!

The kitchen is completely open and has granite counters. There aren’t a lot of cabinets along the wall, but her pantry is enormous. I think the loft pantry is bigger than the pantry at her old house.

Every inch of the 2000 sq ft space is amazing. Darcy lucked out and got a unit with hardwood floors instead of polished concrete. I think the only thing I didn’t like was that the bedroom is open – meaning no door.

There’s a short hallway that you walk through and then there it is. I’d definitely need a door to hide my mess from everyone. LOL.

security monitor

Believe it or not, my favorite feature is not the jetted tub in her master bath, the huge pantry, the amazing view (you can see both the BOA and Epic Center buildings from her apartment), the rooftop access (with outdoor hot tub), the granite counters in the kitchen and bathrooms, although all of these things are great. My favorite feature is the security monitor that shows the hallway, parking garage, elevator, and lobby. I think that’s what Brian and I got most excited about when Darcy first described her new place to us. What can I say? We are nerds.

Anyway, I am so excited for Darcy. She moves in to the ultimate bachelorette pad this weekend. I can’t wait to see how she decks out the place. From all of the things that she has shown and told me, it sounds like it will be really swanky!
