Golden Gate Park in the Rain
Posted on March 22, 2010 by Ching under Travel.
We have the worst luck when it comes to traveling. Seriously. Remember when we went to the Philippines and it was rainy the entire time? Well, guess what. We suffered the same fate in San Francisco. The best weather we experienced was on the day of our flight back to Wichita: 60 degrees and sunny. We only got to enjoy a couple of hours of it.
The last few photos were taken from the observation tower at the de Young museum. Brian was perfectly happy hanging out up there. He was mad at me for making him walk in the rain to the Conservatory of Flowers. I wasn’t about to let a little rain get in the way of my sight-seeing. LOL.

Ghirardelli Square

Ghirardelli Square was another point of interest near our hotel. We got to hang out there with the Dills, Pia, JP, Sheryll, Clayton, and their cute kiddos: Steffano, Carmeron, and Sam.
Steffanno, Sam, and Cameron with Pia’s dog Popo

Sam is such a cutie! She takes after her mommy. I’m glad I got to see Sheryll and her family. I’m glad I got to see Pia after seven years also. With us both living in the US, you’d think we’d be able to see each other more often.
Now that I’ve gone to San Francisco, though, I think it’s her turn again. Time to plan a trip to Kansas, Pia!!

We’ve Found a New Hobby

Brian and I have decided to give up poker and take up couponing in our spare time. At least with couponing you win every time. LOL!
Kidding aside, I want to learn how to do this stuff. Coupon Mom was on KWCH the other night and bought over $130 worth of groceries for only 89 cents. It was amazing! Even the store employees were in shock!

Chinatown
Posted on March 15, 2010 by Ching under Travel.
Just as we had to ride a cable car, no visit to San Francisco is complete without a trip to Chinatown. Here’s a picture of me and Jay at the entrance.
This second picture of me and Jay was taken with his camera.
I wish we had a Chinatown over here. Everything was so cheap! Jay and Becca got a large luggage for $20. We found a similar one at the Walgreens by our hotel for $50. I love Chinatown. It’s the perfect place for miserly ol’ me. LOL.

Union Square

We boarded the cable car from Union Square. While we were waiting (there was a line), we got treated to a drum line performance. It was pretty cool.
