Wordfeud Moment

Whoa! I had no idea you could play bad words. LOL.
I think this will help Brian out some. These four letter swear words are the only ones he can really spell. 😉
LOL. Just kidding, baby!
Speaking of, Google has a neat new toy on their web site in honor of Les Paul’s 96th birthday. So Brian pulled up Google.com and then told me to strum. What did I do? I started strumming his computer screen.
Brian looked at me and said, “WTF, babe? My laptop is not touch screen!”
“Oh,” I replied with much disappointment.
It’s sad when you are so used to everything being touchscreen that you just expect everything to be that way. I’ve actually borrowed someone’s non-touchscreen phone before, pushed on the screen several times in vain, and was frustrated when I couldn’t get it to work. Total Scotty from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home moment.
Faced with a 20th century computer…
Scotty: Computer! Computer? He’s handed a mouse, and he speaks into it.
Scotty: Hello, computer.
Bones: Just use the keyboard.
Scotty: Keyboard. How quaint.
LOL. Yup. I feel like Scotty sometimes when I’m forced to use primitive hardware.

Skrapyard at Ruben’s Blockfest
Posted on June 6, 2011 by Ching under Things to Do.
Brian and I had a great time watching Skrapyard perform at Ruben’s 8th Annual Blockfest last night for day #3 of Riverfest. Other than being a little windy at times, the weather was absolutely beautiful. I could have stayed out there all night. Brian and I took off after the first set, though, because we both had to work the next day. On the plus side, they played all of my favorite songs in the first set so I didn’t really feel like I missed out on anything by leaving early.
Anyway, if you’re going to Riverfest, be sure to check out the “blockfest” at Ruben’s. There’s free live music every night of the festival. Enjoy the wonderful weather and festivities by hanging out and listening to some great local acts!

I Just Love Summer

Brian and I got some sun yesterday, which is good because then I’m not looking so pale anymore. Except, I still need to figure out how to get my legs to be as dark as my arms. Any suggestions?

Gina and Coley
Posted on June 5, 2011 by Ching under Life.
We stayed up way too late last night. Following our stint at Riverfest (which was pretty crazy, by the way), I got a text from Gina Ann that they still had people over. The lure of the margarita machine was just too much to resist so Brian and I found ourselves over there, instead of heading home (even though we were both feeling pretty gross and in dire need of baths).
I’m not sure what time everyone left but, since our hosts didn’t kick us out, we ended up sticking around. After they put Carolyn to sleep the four of us sat around the deck enjoying the wonderful warm evening. We talked about some crazy stuff, most of which I can’t post here. Suffice it to say, Coley had a really colorful childhood. Gina Ann also pulled out her photo album from her 18th birthday so we could look through the pictures. I had previously mentioned to her that Brian and I were there. Anyway, Gina Ann and Coley are definitely one of the most interesting couples you’ll ever meet.
The craziest thing about hanging out with Gina Ann and Coley is that we talked about some completely crazy stuff completely sober. Well, most of us were. Don’t know about Gina. 😉 (Just kidding. I think she only had two margaritas. They might have been really strong, though. =P)
The weather was fabulous. I probably could have slept out on their deck and been perfectly comfortable. By the time I looked at my phone, which beeped because the battery was about dead, it was after midnight. We talked some more after that. It was almost one o’clock in the morning by the time we took off. Holy cow!
We had a great time, though. Thank you for having us over!
