Little kids get suckers or lollipops after a visit with the doctor or dentist, Brian gets a trip to his favorite breakfast place. Which works for me too because I also love HomeGrown. We usually go to the Bradley Fair location.

Brian’s coffee was dual purpose that day: (a) he can’t function without coffee, and (b) he enjoyed the warm cup on his numb face. As for me, I took advantage of my day off to have a mid-morning mimosa.
