I didn’t think it had been that long since my last blog until I got a message from mom last week via the send-mail form below asking why I haven’t been blogging.  “I miss your blogs,” she says and then adds “Where are our pictures from new year’s eve?”  Aha!  The truth comes out!  She’s just looking for the pictures..

My track record with processing (when I say processing I’m not talking about working in a darkroom or anything of that sort, I haven’t touched my 35mm in years; by processing, I mean downloading the images from my digital camera into the computer and then uploading the pictures from my computer into this website, my parents’ website, Ofoto or some other place on the internet where they can be viewed) pictures has always been impeccable.  The pictures I take are usually available for viewing on the internet within 24-48 hours from when they are taken.  Given this track record, I can understand why my mom would be quite antsy when the pictures are nowhere to be found six days after the event.  But, I figured, that’s just mom.  When dad finally asks about the pictures on their tag-board, I knew there was something seriously wrong with me.

The pictures are now available , by the way — minus all of the unflattering pictures of me that were taken by Brian naturally.  Speaking of which, I don’t think I ever shared the Christmas photos so before I forget completely they are available here.  Anyway, I know it’s late and I know that I have expressed a deep loathing for “stale” pictures but, hey, it’s still January (some people haven’t even taken down their Christmas trees, lights and other decorations) so get off my back already!  Kidding aside, I have not been myself lately and I feel as though I owe the rest of the world (perhaps not the entire world, just my corner of the blogging community) and, most of all, my parents an explanation.

(1) I have been sick and haven’t felt like doing much of anything (this includes blogging) lately.  Just ask Brian!  I have been remiss even in my wifely duties.  This has been remedied though but I shall spare you from the gory details as I’m afraid I have shared way too much information as it is.  I don’t feel quite 100% yet but I’m getting there.  I’ve just been so unbelievably sluggish lately.  I mean, would you believe I turned down the rare opportunity to eat munggo at mom and dad’s on Saturday?  This isn’t sarcasm mind you, I really like eating that stuff (who am I kidding I like eating everything, that’s my biggest problem)..  I seriously must not have been feeling well because, if not, I need my head examined.

(2) Brian and I have been preoccupied with Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando, a PS2 video game that I got him for Christmas.  I think it’s one of the best games of 2003.  I mean, with all of the violent crap (trust me, Brian owns most of them) that they are coming out with these days, it’s hard to find a good, clean, fun video game.  RC2 delivers all the way.  Remember how obsessed we were over the original Ratchet and Clank game?  RC2 is ten times better!  But don’t worry (with my awesome coaching abilities) Brian finished the game last night so I can’t use it as an excuse (for not blogging) anymore.  We get so wrapped up in it, you’d think it was an olympic sport or something.  But you know what they say, “the couple that plays together, stays together.”  Honestly though, I’m stuck watching and coaching Brian as he plays because it’s a single-player game and he is such a game hog!

(3) For a while there I was totally wrapped up in Friendster and SFACS BATCH ’94 Yahoo! group..  Now it’s less of the latter and more of the former.  Mhyke just promoted me to moderator (yay for me) so I’m doing my best to be active in all of the goings on in the group.  That and I’ve noticed I’m spending more and more time on Yahoo! Messenger chatting with my old schoolmates.  And, as everyone knows all too well, when you start chatting time just flies by so you don’t really get much of anything done.

I guess that pretty much explains where I have been the last couple of weeks.  I’m still here, just not blogging as much.  I will try to but, with the semester about the start again, I can’t make any promises.
