Pedicure Time

Brian and I decided to get pedicures after work yesterday. Our toenails were in dire need of trimming. Brian likes his nails buffed shiny. I got the same color of nail polish that I got the last time, Kreme de la Kremlin, because I really liked it.
Brian acts all manly and pretends not to enjoy pedicures, but deep down he really does.
We ran into Misty at the nail salon…
Totally unplanned. It’s always more fun when we can get our nails done together. Anyway, Brian now has shiny toenails and I have pretty pinkish ones. 🙂

Hai is Moving to Denver

Gina Ann hosted a cookout at her place in honor of Hai since Hai will be leaving for Denver this weekend. Her final class is tomorrow. I am so sad. It seems like we just met yesterday and now she’s leaving. Booo! 🙁

Brian manned the grill. As he was grilling the chicken breasts, hamburger patties and hotdogs, he had total grill envy. Coley has a huge deck and a monster grill! Their house is made for cookouts!

We had a lot of fun. Thank you to Gina Ann and Coley for having us over. Sorry about the late night. You guys are the best!
P.S. Hai, I will miss you! I’m looking forward to Zumba tomorrow, but at the same time I’m sad because it is your last class. Please come back and visit often!
P.P.S. Gina and Karla have more pictures. I think you need to be friends with them on Facebook in order to see them, though. You’ll just have to join our little Zumba crew!

Saturday with the Dills

The Dills came over for dinner. Before putting in our movie, though, we decided to enjoy the wonderful weather by going miniature golfing. We played a round at All Star Adventures, which Jay won. I did get a hole-in-one, though! It was on the very first hole.
I couldn’t keep the momentum going, however, and Jay beat us all in the end. Close game, though. The scores were as follows: Jay = 50, Brian = 51, Ching = 53, Becca = 54. Not bad for an inebriated bunch.
Thanks Jay and Becca! We had a great time!

Four Straight Days of Zumba

Thank you to Jan and mom for doing Zumba with me last night!
I did Zumba again this morning (after my Saturday step class in Andover) and then had lunch with the girls. At least it was Doc Green’s so it was healthy-ish. LOL.
Looking forward to Amie’s Zumba class tomorrow and Gina Ann’s class on Monday to complete my record six straight days of Zumba. Woot!

Truck Stop Memories

A conversation Brian and I had while we were driving to KC over the weekend…
ME: Was that Beto Junction?
BRIAN: Yes.
ME: Darn it! I wanted to stop there.
BRIAN: Why?
ME: I love Beto Junction! It’s my favorite truck stop.
BRIAN: [giving me a strange, you-are-a-crazy-woman look] Have you even been there? And when?
ME: It was 12-13 years ago. Before we met. I just remember making a pit stop and browsing their store. They had these cool, funny t-shirts inside milk cartons. They had clever sayings on them. It looked like you were buying milk but, when you open it, there’s a t-shirt inside. Every time I drive by Beto Junction, it makes me think of that day I was in there and saw those clever shirts in the cool packaging. What about you? Don’t you have any fond truck stop memories?
BRIAN: Wow. I try to forget all my truck stop memories.
LOL. I think most of Brian’s truck stop memories consist of creepy truckers, filthy bathrooms and bad food. I try to block those from memory also. =P
