I Have Bronchiolitis
Posted on May 8, 2006 by Ching under Moblog.
The doc prescribed me both Advair and Albuterol for my bronchiolitis. It’s some kind of lung infection. I don’t know how I caught it but it’s supposed to be contagious so I won’t be kissing on Brian for a while. I figured it was contagious when the doc stood in the farthest corner of the examination room after I coughed.
Seriously, though, it’s not contagious if it’s just close proximity. If I cough into my hands and touch another person’s face then they’ll be succeptible to the virus. Anyway, I have antibacterial gel so I’m just supposed to rub that stuff in my hands after each coughing fit.
By the way, these inhalers aren’t the easiest to use. I guess that maybe because I’ve never used them before. For my Albuterol treatment, I’m supposed to get rid of all the air in my lungs, gradually inhale as I push on the inhaler, then I am to hold my breath for ten seconds to ensure that the medicine reaches my lungs. I don’t know about you, but that’s a lot of coordination. It made me think of letting go of the clutch slowly as you press on the accelerator. It has to be just right, otherwise you choke your vehicle. See the analogy?
Brian said I should’ve told the doctor that I can’t drive a stick, maybe he would’ve given me something else. I told him I tried. I asked for liquid medicine that I can drink but he said that the infection is in my lungs not my stomach so that’s where we want the medicine to go. Anyway, I’m supposed to take two puffs of the Advair once daily until it’s all gone and then two puffs of the Albuterol every four to six hours until I am no longer wheezing. I should be an expert at giving myself my inhaler treatments after a day or so.
I also did some research and I read that I should be better in about three to four days. Just in time for graduation!

Free Money for Poker
Posted on May 7, 2006 by Ching under Poker.
You all know how devoted I am to UB, right? Well, as of yesterday I’ve been playing on Party Poker. Why? Because they gave me $50 to start playing and I didn’t even have to make a deposit! I’m actually up to $83.01 now. It totally rocks!
Visit Freefiftydollars.com for instructions on how to do it. Remember to follow the instructions closely and don’t skip and steps to ensure that you receive your money. This is truly the best no deposit poker deal there is! I don’t know of any other poker room that is offering anything that even comes close.
When your money is ready, they will give you a call. Try to be patient as this can take up to five days. In my case, though, I got a call within a couple of hours of registration. I think that’s because I know how to follow directions. Just kidding!
It was so funny because Brian was just minding his own business playing WOW in the office when my phone rings. He didn’t recognize the number so he hangs up on them. Then he proceeds to come to the family room, where I am, and interrogate me.
He’s like, “Who’s call you from a 937 area code?”
“I have no idea,” I said. I didn’t realize they would call so quickly so it didn’t dawn on me at first.
“That’s not even a US area code. Is it?”
“Yeah, I think that’s in the US.” Then it dawns on me! “This could be my call for my free fifty dollars! Why did you hang up on them?”
I was totally worried that they wouldn’t give me my money because I didn’t pick up, but the message said my money was ready. I was totally stoked! I’m so excited that I’m actually trying to get Brian to join, but I think he already has an account with Party Poker. He might have set it up back in the Le Blanc days. Jason used to play on Party Poker a lot. Now I know why he was making so much money playing. Players on Party Poker are a lot looser than UB players.
Anyway, I don’t know how long this offer is good for so my suggestion is to sign up now and start making money playing poker!
P.S. Don’t forget to put C1030 in the referred by field so that I get a little bonus also. 😉

That much closer to 500K!
Posted on May 6, 2006 by Brian under Poker.
I can’t believe it. Me, the guy that gets knocked out before break and never wins anything beat out 1400 plus people to win a seat at a 1 million dollar tourney. I played my best poker ever tonight and I myself could not believe it. I thought I was going to have a heart attack during the last 60 some odd people. Then when it was down to the last 5 I thought I was going to piss my pants. Ching was griping the back of my chair trying to tell me to “go all in, fold, just call, your in position”. It was stressful; I couldn’t believe how much I was stressing. I was sweating my ass off I was so nervous. But I did it, I got my seat. Now the only problem is the dammed tourney is on Saturday the 13th. So either it will be one game that they will have everyone at or it will be several small games that will culminate into one game for the big prize. I’m hoping that it will not be during the party, otherwise we will be loading UB on Ching’s parent’s computer and I will be playing while everyone else is partying.ÂÂ

Aeon Flux Movie
Posted on May 6, 2006 by Ching under Movies.
This is a conversation Brian and I had right before watching the movie Aeon Flux in the bedroom.
“I heard this movie was really bad,” I told Brian.
“The story is supposed to suck,” he said.
“Why? Because they deviated from the cartoon?”
“Pretty much. The only thing they kept were the characters. They created their own story. They would’ve been better off putting her in the original costume.”
“You’re such a perv,” I told him. “That wouldn’t have helped the story any.”
“No, but more people would’ve watched it.”
It wasn’t as bad as I thought. Brian fell asleep halfway through it, but I managed to stay awake and finish the movie. That was kind of odd because usually I’m the one who zonks out. I think it has to do having received full body massage earlier today. I had a waxing (face and bikini) and facial appointment so I got it him a massage appointment at the same time so he wouldn’t get bored while waiting for me.
Wasn’t that just thoughtful of me?

Pet Insurance
Posted on May 5, 2006 by Ching under Babies.
My baby Molly is officially insured! The paperwork arrived today. I kind of wish that the other animals were insured now too, though.
A few days ago Brian noticed that Oscar’s eyes were filled with puss and gunk so he took him to the vet. It turns out he has an eye infection. Thankfully it isn’t contagious to humans. However, we are very concerned about the others.
We have some eye gel for Oscar which we have to give him in the morning and at night. He doesn’t like it very much so I have to hold him down while Brian applies the eye gel. I had no idea how strong he was until now. Despite his skinny frame it takes all of my weight to keep him from escaping.
Anyway, he needs treatment for a couple of weeks and then hopefully things will be back to normal. It’s kind of a pain to treat him.
As for Molly she seems pretty healthy. She is now 2 lbs and 13 ounces. That’s 10 more ounces than she weighed last week! Brian says that she is everyone’s favorite puppy at the vet. No wonder she is such a diva!
