2006 Fall Parade of Homes Guess what time of the year it is? It’s time for the fall parade of homes! Don’t you just love looking at fancy new houses? Someday Brian and I will be able to own one of those nice houses. Until then all we can do is dream and drool. 🙂

All Around the Web

Posted on October 7, 2006 by under Family, News, Poker, Web.

Poker hasn’t been good to me lately so I’m returning to my first love–blogging. So long poker. At least until next week.

So what’s going on around the web over the last few days?

  • My poker hiatus may last longer than a few days if the new online gambling law passes. There are many people who are more than a little distruntled about this. Even my idol is chiming in.
  • Mom’s birthday was yesterday, October 6, but we are celebrating tomorrow. Lunch at their house. I’m looking forward to it. Yummy food, here I come! Scarf, scarf, scarf!
  • Speaking of mom’s birthday, Dad made her a tribute video. Isn’t it amazing that even my dad is on YouTube? That should tell you something.
  • It’s telling Google something. It’s supposed to be all rumor and speculation right now. Neither camp has confirmed anything. No one is talking. However, the news made the Wall Street Journal. So it’s gotten pretty big as rumors go.
  • If this goes through there will be serious repercussions. Some say YouTube will go down the tubes. Some say that the Google folks are nuts for even thinking about it. Mark Cuban has been quoted as saying only a moron would buy YouTube.
  • But who cares about that stuff, I’ve already moved on to the next big thing: PornoTube. That’s right. You knew it was only a matter of time. It’s a shame I didn’t think of it or I’d be a millionaire entrepreneur by now. LOL.
  • For someone who is super busy this semester I found a couple of new shows to add to my watch list. First there’s Heroes which Brian has been anxiously awaiting for several months; and then there is 5 Takes which is like MTV’s Road Rules but ten times better. There’s more travelling and less drama.

Who needs TV when there is so much entertainment to be found online?

I went to Hell and All I got was $50 bucks!

Posted on October 6, 2006 by under Flickr.

My mother owes me so big she has no clue. Let me tell you how this all began.

My mom calls me as asks me if I want to earn $50.00. I tell her heck ya as long as I dont have to do any physical labor. She assures me that I will have to just sit there and listen to some music for a survey and when its over I will be able to collect $50.00. I tell her i’m down sign me up! she says that she is going to send me an e-mail and it will have the number of the lady I need to call and then the information on the time and the location. I open the e-mail and there is everything that she says I need. Then I see a follow up e-mail and when I open it I feel like commiting murder! My mother tells me in a seperat e-mail that the music I have to listen to is country music. Any one that knows me knows that I hate country music with a passion. But as my wife pointed ouit, its $50.00!

So tonight I get to the Survey place. Sit down and begin to listen to

the obnoxious sounds of country played in 5 second intervals. I had to listen to 700 songs total. We were given little bubble answer sheets like they give you in SAT tests. So i did what I did in my SAT test. I looked at my neighbors test and wrote down what they had. When it was over I thought I was going to have to trample the people in front of me to get out of the boulding. I had to supress the urge to run out of the building and scream at the top of my lungs “My ears are bleeding!”. But in the end. I got $50.00 and I only had to listen to 5 seconds of country music.

If I end up in Hell, I will have to repeat that Survey for eternity!

A New Poem From Brian

Posted on September 28, 2006 by under Life.

As I lay here looking at the sky,
I see my reflection in your beautiful eyes.
You look at me with such desire
it melts my soul and sets my heart on fire.
Your kiss is soft your taste is sweet,
as we lay together our hearts sync beats.
Our bodies press with passion and fire;
we show the world our deepest desires.
The clothes come off our bodies mesh;
the air is warm and smells so fresh.
Our passions rise we bump and grind,
only one thought runs through our singular mind.
Our love is strong our emotions great
we realize now that we are soulmates.
Destined to be forever and ever
one heart, one soul, one mind together.
I write this poem to let you know
that I will never ever let you go.
In my heart you stay in my mind you swim,
together forever through thick and thin.
I love you more and more each day,
I hope you feel the very same way.
I end this poem I hope you smile
and will promise to stay with me
for a good long while.

He says this is an original that he wrote. No plagiarism this time. Thanks, baby.

 Dating Kit

I was going to get this for Jen for her birthday but I found that she and Ray are back together. So much for the brilliant gift idea.
