A Flare for the Dramatic!

Posted on September 1, 2007 by under Sponsored Post.

As many of you know I am a fond lover of art in any form. One of my favorite forms of art is sculpture, specifically decorative art, metal art, metal wall sculptures and iron wall art. I have had several friends over the years that had a wonderful eye for this kind of work and would toil for hours in there shops building and sculpting there masterpieces for the masses to consume and enjoy. I myself have always wanted to make metal wall art of my own to be used in my house or family’s house. I find that more and more businesses are starting to incorporate metal sculptures and wall art into the decor of there stores. A local sandwich shop in my town makes wall art a staple for all of its locations, hanging wonderful peices up by local artist and incorporating sculpture into the railings and tables. A wonderful Italian place just down the street has a wide variety of wall sculptures, some of which are for sale to the public, that they display regularly. Metal wall art are quickly becoming the new decoration of homes as well! More and more you see on these home remodel programs and designer shows that people are turning to wall sculptures as the new visual focus to build the rest of your home decor off of. Wall sculpture adds a since of depth that is lacking from your standard painting or wall draping. Wall sculptures can not only be admired from afar but can be touched, admired up close and may even be a focal for conversation in your home.

It’s not just a hobby, it’s an ADVENTURE!

Posted on September 1, 2007 by under Reviews, Sponsored Post, Toys, Web.

My father and I have been restoring a Vietnam Era M151-A2 Military jeep that he purchased from a private owner. As part of our restoration we have been purchasing several items that we use in displays in shows that are held around the country. We set up these displays to be judged and admired by everyone. One of the hardest things to get is real replica’s of the weapons that were used with the Jeeps. At first we wanted to be authentic and get decommissioned real guns that were used in the Vietnam Era. However, after searching for a very long time we found that not only was it almost imposable to get these weapons it was very expensive and we just could not afford the price. One night I was looking around the internet and came across a web site that offered air rifles at really reasonable prices. Airgun Depot was the answer to our problem by offering realistic replicas at a very reasonable price. We perused the site and found the weapons that we needed and after purchasing an M16 replica we received it home and looked it over. We were surprised that even up close this air rifle was very realistic and fit our purpose perfectly. We purchased several other air rifles for the display and have not been disappointed with the products at all. The web site was very easy to navigate and the shipping and delivery were excellent.

Vacation in Tahoe

Posted on August 29, 2007 by under Sponsored Post, Travel.

I ran into Suzie and John a few weeks ago at Heroes. This was after we returned from our anniversary trip to Jamaica but before school started back up so I could still play poker. Anyway, they were telling us about Jonathan and Julie’s trip to Tahoe. Jonathan is their son. Brian and I met Jonathan and Julie at Fingers years ago. This was right when we first started playing APL/bar poker. Anyway, Jonathan and Julie are both avid poker players. It was no surprise when they set their wedding date for July 7, 2007.

Suzie told me that they really wanted to honeymoon abroad but they didn’t apply for their passports in time so they end up honeymooning in Tahoe. She said they had a blast. Well, there really are a lot of wonderful vacation spots in the States. Lake Tahoe is one. There’s always something to do there year round.

There’s skiing and snowboarding. In fact, you can check out a map of Tahoe ski resort here. There’s shopping, gaming, nightlife, hiking, mountain biking, boating, beaches, golf, and dining. There’s really something for everyone.

If you’re not completely sold on vacationing in Tahoe, check out these 360 virtual tours. The views are breathtaking. Sand Harbor Beach is just spectacular!

Besides the 360 virtual tours, the web site also offers live webcams to entice you to go. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m sold. After I told Brian that they have casinos there too, he was sold as well. See you guys there!

Want to Earn Some Money!

Posted on August 16, 2007 by under Life, News, Sponsored Post, Web.

I am always searching for new ways to earn a little extra cash. Nothing that I can retire on or anything like that but you know a place where I can earn a little fun money. Well I finally found one. You all know that I love to write about my experiences and events that happen in my every day life and I know that you all like reading about it. So what makes this site so perfect you ask? well let me tell you! First I don’t have to change anything about the way I write. If I am going to write about credit cards or the fact that I just paid them all off then I can write about that. I simply go to the site and find a relevant advertiser that wants to put what they call a blog ad on my site. this is an unobtrusive link that a guest will see and click on. nothing more nothing less. It will take you to the advertisers site and if you find it interesting then you stay and look around, if not then you come back to my site and read some more. If you are a blogger like I am then this is a great way to earn a little extra cash. they pay you to simply write. Already, I have found several very interesting sites that I never knew existed and have visited them repeatedly. This is something that you must look into if you are interested in improving your web traffic, building your site popularity or just want some extra green. I am and avid movie watcher and plan on using the extra money to build my movie collection. You will also meet some excellent people here, they have a whole community built around this site and new poeple are joining every day. Check it out, I think you will like it.
