Movies Update
Posted on January 8, 2006 by Ching under Movies.
We haven’t been to the theaters lately but we did get to watch a couple of movies over the weekend. We watched Wedding Crashers and Sky High
. Wedding Crashers
was pretty funny. Sky High
was cheesy but cute. Brian loves those teeny bopper movies so he put it on our Netflix
list. Speaking of Netflix
, we were at PETCO
the other day which is right next to Hollywood Videos. Brian commented how surprised he was that video stores were still in business with Netflix
around. I remember those days almost ten years ago when Brian and I practically lived at Hollywood Videos. It was really convenient because we lived just across the stree back then. Of course, now that we have Netflix
we don’t even have to leave the house.

Crash
Posted on January 1, 2006 by Ching under Movies.
I finally got to watch Crash after having had my copy for a couple of months. It’s not Brian’s kind of movie so he keeps refusing to watch it. I finally just buckled down and decided I would watch it by myself. I can’t believe I waited so long. It’s a really good movie.

A Short Breather
Posted on November 19, 2005 by Ching under Movies, School.
After a frustrating night of coding and an even more frustrating morning of more coding, it looks like our group project website is finally coming together. You all should check it out and give me some feedback. Other items on my “to do” list this weekend include:
- Study for HRM 466 exam
- Finish ACCT 410 take home exam
- Begin ACCT 410 financial report project
- Complete MIS 605 extra credit assignment
- Go to the gym for much-needed workout
- Work on HRM 466 simulation graphs
- Continue work on MIS 610 project
- Schedule bonding times with suggies
- Try to avoid a nervous breakdown
That’s just all that I can remember right now. The list goes on and on and on. As items get marked off, new tasks continue to be added. It’s really frustrating. My only consolation is that I have only one more month until the end of the semester and only one more semester to go until graduation.
BTW, I finally got a chance to watch The Longest Yard. Brian and his dad watched it in the theater when it first came out but I never got a chance to see it. Man, did I miss out. It’s a great movie! I should have insisted on going to the movies with them that day. Although, I might have had other things to do that day. You all know how tight my schedule is. Anyway, I’m taking a break from school work for just a bit. Brian wants to watch Man of the House
right now. I should be back in here in a bit, though. I’ve still got lots of school work to do.

Our Suggies are Home
Posted on November 11, 2005 by Ching under Babies, Movies.
Brian and I have decided that we are going to stay up all night with Ginger and Star on their first night home. It took them a while to venture out of the pouch and start exploring. We actually couldn’t coax them out. I think they were too afraid. Brian and I finally decided to just leave them alone and watch a movie in the family room. We left them to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was pretty good actually. Johnny Depp always does a great job no matter what character he plays. Anyway, I went to check on Ginger and Star halfway through the movie. I was supposed to just take a quick peek but it was so neat to watch them jump about their cage, play with their toys and explore their new surroundings. I just had to call Brian over. What was supposed to be a quick peek turned out to be quite an intermission. We had to move the wodent wheel to the cage floor because it fell from the first shelf. Ginger was in there vigorously running. The base of the wheel kept inching its way closer to the edge. Brian and I decided that we better move it before it fell over, but it was too late. Just as we tried to reach in there, it toppled over. Thankfully, Ginger jumped out in time. Besides the near miss, they both seem to be having fun. They are so much fun watch. We are very pleased with our decision to add them to our family. I think we may end up watching another movie here shortly. We need something to do if we are going to stay up with Ginger and Star. Anyway, I just wanted to give you guys a quick update. It is now 1:04 am and I’m going back to the glider room to hang out with our babies.

Batman Begins
Posted on November 2, 2005 by Ching under Movies.
We just finished watching Batman Begins. It was better than I expected. Definitely worth watching. Too bad I thought it was lame when it first came out. It would have been nice to have watched it in a movie theater auditorium. Christian Bale makes a good Batman.
