You Light Up My Life

“You Light Up My Life” by Debby Boone was the number one song on the Billboard charts the day that I was born. This song also won the 1977 Grammy for Song of the Year and was the biggest hit of that year. It was #1 for 10 weeks in the US charts. Debby Boone won the Grammy for Best New Artist that same year. The song also won the Oscar for Best Song in the 1978 Academy Awards.
The number one song the day Brian was born was some obscure song called “Billy, Don’t Be a Hero” by Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods. I have never even heard of that song. I think Brian got gypped in the song department. What was the number one song on the day that you were born? Find out here and then post the title in the comments.

Dangly Earrings for Bree
Posted on March 19, 2009 by Ching under Projects.
I made Bree some dangly earrings for her birthday. They consist of mother of pearl and tiger’s eye beads hooked together using head and eye pins. I think I’m getting better at this jewelry-making stuff. =)
P.S. You can order some Mother of Pearl and Tiger’s Eye dangly earrings for $8.00 or other custom earrings for $15.00. Simply checkout using the shopping cart located on the upper right hand corner and then email your request to me.
P.P.S. Mostly I’m just trying out Chad’s Drop Cart program. It is neato!

Battle of the Bangers
Posted on March 17, 2009 by Ching under Food and Drink.
Jay tied Tim for first place at the banger-eating contest tonight at Highlands. What the heck is a banger anyway? A banger is a lower quality sausage, usually made of pork, with a tendency to split open with a “bang” during frying. These things looked so gross. I felt my arteries clogging up just looking at them.
We had way too much fun for a school/work night! I’m so glad Cory decided to celebrate his 30th birthday at Highlands. =) Happy birthday, Cory!
