I would have taken more pictures, but the rain and humidity kept making my camera fog up. 🙁

de Young Museum

Posted on March 23, 2010 by under Travel.

Here are the rest of the photos that we took at the de Young Museum. Enjoy!

The day we went was free admission day so the museum was really crowded. We really wanted to see the King Tut exhibit but we were too late for it. Tons of other people got to the museum before us and it was already full.

It was still fun roaming around the museum and checking out all the exhibits, though. Some of the displays were just amazing. It made Brian and I wish that we had a de Young Museum here in Wichita. Nothing here even comes close.

Golden Gate Park in the Rain

Posted on March 22, 2010 by under Travel.

We have the worst luck when it comes to traveling. Seriously. Remember when we went to the Philippines and it was rainy the entire time? Well, guess what. We suffered the same fate in San Francisco. The best weather we experienced was on the day of our flight back to Wichita: 60 degrees and sunny. We only got to enjoy a couple of hours of it.

The last few photos were taken from the observation tower at the de Young museum. Brian was perfectly happy hanging out up there. He was mad at me for making him walk in the rain to the Conservatory of Flowers. I wasn’t about to let a little rain get in the way of my sight-seeing. LOL.

Ghirardelli Square was another point of interest near our hotel. We got to hang out there with the Dills, Pia, JP, Sheryll, Clayton, and their cute kiddos: Steffano, Carmeron, and Sam.

Sam is such a cutie! She takes after her mommy. I’m glad I got to see Sheryll and her family. I’m glad I got to see Pia after seven years also. With us both living in the US, you’d think we’d be able to see each other more often.

Now that I’ve gone to San Francisco, though, I think it’s her turn again. Time to plan a trip to Kansas, Pia!!

We’ve Found a New Hobby

Brian and I have decided to give up poker and take up couponing in our spare time. At least with couponing you win every time. LOL!

Kidding aside, I want to learn how to do this stuff. Coupon Mom was on KWCH the other night and bought over $130 worth of groceries for only 89 cents. It was amazing! Even the store employees were in shock!
