Sunday Brunch
Posted on January 20, 2013 by Ching under Food and Drink.
The Orbases visited us this weekend so we wanted to fix them a nice breakfast this morning. Our breakfast consisted of plain and Nutella-filled crescents (the Nutella ones were a big hit with the kiddos), scrambled eggs (Clayton wanted to help so we put him in charge of the eggs), hash browns, bacon strips, and steamed rice (a staple for any Filipino breakfast).
Here’s a closer look at Clayton’s scrambled eggs.
I usually prefer fried eggs to scrambled eggs, but these had great flavor.
Thank you to the Orbases for visiting us this weekend. Brian and I had a lot of fun and hope you did too. Please visit us again soon. We loved having all of you over. The kids were specially entertaining!

Great Harvest Bread Co is Truly Great
Posted on January 20, 2013 by Ching under Food and Drink, Reviews.
Brian and I only had a limited amount of time after my Zumba class and before my waxing appointment so we decided to have lunch at Great Harvest rather than going all the way back home. We split the mile high panini sandwich. Though we hadn’t been there in ages, it’s the sandwich that we usually get there.
I must say, it’s just as good as I remembered. If you’ve never been to Great Harvest, I highly recommend checking it out. They make the best breads here in Wichita, hands down. Their cinnamon burst bread has always been my favorite. They also make deliciously cheesy garlic bread sticks. They give everyone free samples of their freshly baked breads and they also give you a free cookie on your first FourSquare check in. Those of you who have been to Great Harvest know that they have really awesome cookies, so that’s a FourSquare deal that is not to be missed.
If the amazing food isn’t enough to draw you in, then the friendly service should. The fine folks at Great Harvest are simply the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I give this restaurant an A++ because they are just plain super. Go ahead and check it out and tell them Ching sent you. 🙂

Welcome to Corks Bar
Posted on January 19, 2013 by Ching under Confessions.
Because Brian and I are uber nerds, we decided to name our basement bar. We couldn’t figure out what to call it and we just got a cork cage for our wine corks the other day so Brian suggested we call the bar Corks. I thought he said Quarks at first like the bar in Star Trek, but he clarified and said Corks as in wine corks. I immediately loved it. Ya’ll know how much I love word games so the fact that these two names are homonyms is right up my alley.
So welcome to Corks Bar everyone! There’s never any cover and there’s always something to drink. No guarantees on the availability of beer, but we can guarantee that there will always be House Wine.

Brian Actually Fell UP the Stairs
Posted on January 19, 2013 by Ching under Confessions.
If Brian kills himself in the stairs, I would not be the least bit surprised. He actually fell UP the steps last night. Yes. He fell on his ass while going up the steps. Thank heavens he didn’t break the wine glasses! LOL.

Kim’s Delicious Cinnamon Rolls
Posted on January 17, 2013 by Ching under Food and Drink.
Our friend Kim made the most delicious cinnamon rolls the other day and shared them with us. Brian and I go to enjoy these cinnamon rolls for a couple of days and I even had one after dinner yesterday. They were so yummy!
Brian and I are supposed to be on a diet, but this was an exception that I was happy to make. We are so blessed to have friends who make yummy foods. Now if I can only get her to make this but with chocolate chips in them. Hmmm…
