Bless His Heart

We watched a little too much Top Chef over the weekend. It inspired Brian to do some culinary experimentation last night. He made spaghetti with chunks of steak in it. It doesn’t quite work, I know. He said the steaks were on sale, though. I guess he was trying to save money at the same time.
I think it could’ve worked if he just stuck to the basics. Cooked the steaks and then served potatoes or rice on the side. Rather than putting it in spaghetti. What a weird combination. I guess he thought he could cook this stuff up because he’d been watching the Top Chef contestants seemingly throw stuff together and it turns out really good.
“Don’t quit your day job,” I told him. On the up side, if he keeps cooking this way I might just lose weight. LOL.
The Top Chef finale is tomorrow night. I’m not sure how we are going to watch it since we are going to the movies with the folks at work to celebrate Customer Service Week. I asked Brian to DVR it, but he says we have too many shows DVR-ing on Wednesday and there isn’t room for it. Boo.
The crazy thing is that I’ve never ever watched the show until this weekend, but now that I have I’m totally hooked. I know I’m behind but the finale is the only important episode anyway. I just want to know who wins it.
