A Week of Mexican Food

Cousin Tracy and Jeff took me to Mi Cocina at Sundance Square (just down the street from my hotel on Tuesday night). Here are some food pics.
On Thursday, I had a late lunch at the airport before I hopped on the flight home. I ate at Pappacito’s which actually had pretty good Tex-Mex. Who would have thought you’d find good food at the airport? Well, actually… ” title=”Ku-Va”>After my experience with Ku-Va in Miami, I had pretty high hopes.
I’d say this would have to be the second best airport food I’d ever eaten because it wasn’t as good as Ku-Va, but it was pretty darn good. Pappacito’s tortilla chips remind me of those served at Abuelo’s. I liked the flavor of their salsa, which wasn’t too spicy. The cheese dip with beef was also pretty good. I had a couple of crispy tacos: one beef and one chicken. They were both good, but the chicken was very, very good. I’m not sure what they did with it, but it had great flavor. I got lucky that the restaurant was right next to my gate. Next time I’m in Texas, I’m definitely going to look for a Pappacito’s to enjoy some more of that yummy Tex-Mex!
