I Love My New Phone

Posted on September 8, 2005 by under Toys.

I’m advertising my phone because I just love it. It’s got a built-in mp3 player and everything. I love my speaker phone. I love my camera. I everything about it. Really, all that’s missing is a radio tuner. If they ever invent a camera phone with an mp3 player and radio tuner both, I am so there! Oh, and did I mention that it’s a swinger (as opposed to a slider like my old phone). How fitting, huh? It’s so funny because one of Brian’s coworkers got the exact same phone at the same time I did. Actually, we received our phones a day apart. The only difference is his is legit through Cingular and mine is an unlocked version so I can use it with my existing T-Mobile phone service. He actually prefers T-Mobile to Cingular but he said he had no idea that he could get it unlocked like I did. He really wanted the phone so he ended up getting service through Cingular. Honestly, though, I think he got a better deal. I mean, I paid about $350 for mine compared to about $100 for him after his rebates. Sometimes I miss the perks we used to have when Brian worked for T-Mobile. We loved availing of the phone discounts! Of course, the free cable service makes up for it. For instance, we would never have gotten a DVR otherwise. Now I can’t even imagine living without it. Technology is addictive. But I digress, back to the phone thing. You know how Brian was vehemently against Sony Ericsson phones? I can’t even begin to count how many times he has attempted to talk me out of getting my phone. All the propaganda and all his efforts were in vain, though, because I got the phone anyway. When I received it and he got to play with it, he was thoroughly impressed. So impressed, in fact, that he wouldn’t mind owning one himself. The other morning I was whining about how I thought I was dying per usual. He was still in bed, half-asleep, but he managed to respond. He goes, “Can I have your phone?” I glared at him for two seconds and then busted up laughing. Anyway, I’m supposed to be doing homework right now but I got home late from mom and dad’s. I went over there to deliver my Visual Basic .NET text book. Dad wants to brush up on VB before he goes to England. While there, I thought I’d hook him up by downloading Visual Studio .NET from the MSDNAA website. He returned the favor by giving me a copy of the gala video. Way to barter! I just didn’t feel like doing homework by the time I got home. It was already 9:30 pm and Brian was going to arrive home shortly so I didn’t really want to mess with homework. Procrastination. Homework just doesn’t do anything for me. P.S. Sorry about the lame blog entry. I just felt like I needed to post something because my readership was declining. Give me a couple of weeks and I’ll type up a sex story. 😉
