And the Bad Luck Continues

Our printer crapped out last night. It’s the printer head, of all things. The printer head is the most expensive part, too. Without it, your printer is just a big worthless box. If we hadn’t spent $60 on ink catridges a few days ago the answer would’ve been so simple. I’d been wanting to buy a newer, better printer anyway. Except, I don’t want to toss $60 worth of ink cartridges. Brian and I priced printer heads and it’s going to cost about $100 to get a replacement. The new printer idea is looking more and more appealing despit the recently purchased ink cartridgres. That’s a sunk cost anyway, right? We did find some cheap printer heads being auctioned off on eBay, but the prices just keep going up every time we check. I just want to cry. It just seems like bad things keep happening to me. Anyway, the whole fiasco cost Brian his yearly BDBJ (a birthday tradition). He was looking forward to it too because I learned to swallow not too long ago. He was kind of upset with me last night about that. But then, can you blame me? My printer just died! That’s like asking me to go to a party the day after my sister’s funeral and expecting me to go. Okay, bad example. Just kidding, Jen. I wouldn’t celebrate your demise. Though I have no doubt there are some who would. Kidding again. Anyway, what Brian doesn’t know is that I’m in a good mood today so he’s getting his BDBJ tonight. If he doesn’t check my blog tonight, he’ll be totally surprised. If he does, then he’ll have something to look forward to when I get home from class. 🙂
