Mom’s Birthday Dinner

Posted on October 3, 2004 by under Family.

Mom’s birthday dinner was a lot of fun.  Ray came.  So I guess he and Jen are back together.  The dinner conversation was pretty easy.  Jen and I split the bill in half.  It was $128 and she gave me $60, which I told her was sufficient.  We let her take home all the leftovers.  She needs to eat she’s too skinny.

Anyway, since mom seemed to be in a good mood I sprung the hole let’s-have-a-halloween-costume-party-at-your-house-for-my-birthday idea.  I think she’s actually considering it.  We were talking about what everyone would be for halloween.  I’m going to be Lara Croft.  I’m going to see if Brian’s mom can French braid my hair.  Jen wants to be a mermaid and she would like for Ray to be a pirate.  But Ray wants to be a golfer (complete with knee-high socks and bloomers) which is totally appropriate since he loves to golf and dreams of going pro one day.  As Jen is drinking her Midori sour dad goes, “I’m going to be a mammogram machine!”  We all bust up laughing!  Jen almost spits her drink.  Brian goes eggs him on by saying that he’d even wear a sign that say “Free Breast Exams.”

If this happens, I’m definitely posting pictures.
