Match-Making

Posted on February 25, 2004 by under Life.

I’m experiencing this strong desire to set Misty (you may need to sign in to MySpace to view her profile) up with someone lately.  First, I wanted to set her up with Jason (Brian’s IT-guy friend at work who did wonders to restore the functionality of our home network) — only to find out that he is practically married.  He is living with his girlfriend with whom he has two children with.  So that was a bust.

Then I wanted to set her up with Steffan, one of the guys in Brian’s workgroup.  He also works as a bartender at Fingers on the weekends.  And though I’ve only met him once, I have found him to be a really nice fellow.  Much to my dismay, however, Brian tells me that he too already has a girlfriend.

Anyway, that leave me with my final prospective match for her: Professor Bill Vanderburgh.  He seems like a really nice guy.  Attractive and smart, really smart.  Actually, probably so accomplished and smart that Misty feels he might be out of her league.  But whatever.

Kelley was going to hook him up with Megan but since she has dropped the class, I suppose I am free to hook him up with a person of my own choosing.  Actually, I have to find out first if he is even available because he might not be.  If he isn’t, then I guess this is strike three.  And that just bites.

Maybe it’s a sign, Misty?  What do you think?
