Happy Easter
Posted on April 8, 2012 by Ching under Family, Outfits.
I don’t know what it is, but I like wearing white on Easter. The photo on the left was taken last year. The one on the right was taken this afternoon.
You know how some women have multiple black dresses? I have a few white dresses because I love, love, love wearing white. Specially on Easter Sunday. 🙂

Jeff and Tracy’s Beautiful Wedding
Posted on March 21, 2012 by Ching under Events, Family, Travel.
Brian and I just got back from cousin Tracy and Jeff’s beautiful destination wedding which was held at Coral Cove Resort in Little Bay, Jamaica. For those of you who haven’t tied the knot yet, I think destination weddings are a brilliant alternative to traditional weddings. You can actually save a lot of money because many resorts will throw you a wedding for FREE!
Couples has a “One Love” package which includes a bouquet for the bride, boutonniere for the groom, wedding cake and sparkling wine toast for up to ten guests, two signature champagne flutes, wedding officiant and marriage certificate, personal wedding planner and on property coordinator, “Just Married” shirts for the bride and groom, and 25-minute couples massage that’s free if you book at least 6 nights at one of their resorts. They don’t cover the $250 government licensing and administrative fee that everyone getting married in Jamaica has to pay, but where else can you get married for a measly $250? Can’t beat that!
If you aren’t quite sold on the idea of a destination wedding, just wait until you see the photos from the wedding this weekend. It’s so beautiful and romantic that I almost booked a vow renewal trip on the spot.
The guys right before the ceremony.
Viola and Terri before the wedding.
Shoes are optional. 😉
Brian and his mom.
I love how the pink color of the bridesmaids’ dresses contrasts against the beautiful blue sky and sea. The ladies were stunning!
Brian’s dad walked cousin Tracy down the aisle and gave her away. She looked radiant in her wedding gown.
Jeff and cousin Tracy made a handsome couple.
Some post-wedding photos…
Here are some photos of me and Brian and some of the other guests.
Post-wedding celebration…
Everyone had a great time! I can’t wait for the next destination wedding that Brian and I will be invited to attend. Hmmm… Maybe Pia and JP are next?

I Forgive You
Posted on February 5, 2012 by Ching under Family, Relationship, Travel.
We headed to our hotel after having brunch at Oldwest Cafe. At the time, we had no idea that the hotel was just down the street from the restaurant so we had to rely on Max (our GPS) who wanted us to take the freeway. Max is prone to calling out turns and exits a little late and Brian is prone to driving over the speed limit so we ended up missing our exit. We missed a couple more exits which prompted me to say, “You know it’s okay to slow down if you’re not sure where you’re going.”
“I can’t hear her (referring to Max) when you’re talking!” Brian snapped at me.
Unfazed I replied, “I’m not upset with you for being grouchy at me because I know that you’re only mad at yourself.” The entire car erupted in laughter. Brian’s mom and dad got a kick out of it.
Brian was like, “That’s the problem with having an educated wife. The FUs tend to be lengthier.” LOL.
We did finally manage to find our way to the hotel. We realized later that Max was being a turd. We could have gotten from the restaurant to the hotel without having to hop on the freeway. Go figure.

Christmas Day with the Brubakers
Posted on December 28, 2011 by Ching under Family.
As our annual tradition goes, we spend Christmas Eve with the Alonsos and then Christmas Day with the Brubakers. Christmas morning started out with fruit and cinnamon rolls and mimosas.
The present from Kevin and Kasey was the first thing we opened. They put together a wonderful “date night” basket with movies, wine, sausage, cheese and crackers. Thank you, Kevin and Kasey!
We got initial coasters from Cousin Tracy. Thank you, Cousin Tracy!
This is Brian checking out the Sharper Image wine aerator/preserver that we got from Mom and Dad B.
I got both Brian and David the complete Firefly series box set in blu-ray because I found a good deal on Amazon one day. That and I knew that they both really, really liked that show. Brian’s been wanting the box set for a while. I’m glad we waited to get it so that we could get it on blu-ray instead of just regular DVD.
I was so stoked to get my Boggle game. I grew up playing it! Brings back some fond memories. Thank you, Mom and Dad B!
Grandma loves getting chocolates at Christmas.
Since Donna loves sock monkeys, Brian and I got her a sock monkey hat and matching scarf. We found it at one of the booths at Holiday Galleria a few months ago.
Brian got a new dress shirt.
Donna got David Dragon Naturally Speaking.
Brian got his coffee maker that he’s been wanting all this time.
Grandma loved the embroidered shirts that she got from David and Donna.
I got my wrist weights! Woot!
Donna got a new blender and food processor combo.
Dad B is a ninja!
We got Mom and Dad B the same wedding photo book of Kevin and Kasey’s wedding in October that we made for Kevin and Kasey.
That’s all the pictures I got because my camera ran out of battery. 🙁
