Found My Old Toe Socks

I found my old toe socks the other day while Brian and I were cleaning out the master bedroom. Our rule is that if it hasn’t been worn in over a year then it gets donated to Goodwill or tossed in the trash. I hadn’t worn these socks in a few years, but I wasn’t ready to part with them just yet so I wore them. Therefore, they’ve been worn recently and are not eligible to be donated or tossed. There’s always clever ways of getting around the rules that we set for ourselves.

Incidentally, these toe socks are great for if you want to wear flip flops in the winter. Not that I would want to do that, but the idea came to mind as I was thinking of reasons why I should keep my silly toe socks.

Hairy Legs

Posted on January 3, 2009 by under Moblog.

I haven't shaved since the waxing in Oct

Brian and I went to meet his parents and grandparents at The Diner for brunch yesterday. The weather was so nice that I decided to wear a skirt sans tights. When I stepped out of the car and into the sunlight I caught a glimpse of my very hairy, super gross legs. That’s what happens when you don’t shave for two months. LOL.

I loathe shaving so I hadn’t shaved my legs since my last full body waxing right before the cruise. I figure that I can hold out until spring when I can get another full body waxing. I mean, I rarely every wear shorts or skirts in the winter anyway. I didn’t expect my legs to look super gross the way they did yesterday.

I had to take a picture just to show how gross they were. Except, much to my disappointment, the leg hairs didn’t really show up well in the picture so you guys aren’t getting the full extent of the grossness. Oh, well. Maybe no one will notice if I don’t shave my legs for another two months. Brian doesn’t seem to mind it. =P

Eli Flying an RC Heli

This is my favorite photo of Eli from last night. I like it because he is actually smiling. The kid is so shy, he just glares at you most of the time. He doesn’t seem to like anyone else besides his mom, dad, and lolo.

I managed to capture this photo while he was playing with Logan’s RC helicopter. This is a toy that is marked for ages 8 and up, mind you. Yet this two year old toddler is just totally fascinated by it. He was having so much fun playing with the RC helicopter that he was literally jumping up and down, laughing, and screaming.

Incidentally, Jenni got a little RC helicopter for Eli also but it was a bit harder to control than the one that we got for Logan. Since it was more challenging to fly, Logan ended up playing with that one while Eli played with Logan’s heli. Both boys seemed to have a fantastic time playing with the two helicopters.

I think part of Eli’s fascination with the RC heli might be the result of having watched his lolo fly his RC heli on numerous occasions (dad has a few different kinds). Now he has his own and Logan’s to play with. 🙂

Thank the Lord for Unlimited Messaging

Posted on December 21, 2008 by under Moblog.

November Messaging Totals

Brian was picking on me because of the amount of text messages that I send and receive. He was like, “How many text messages do you think you have in a month?”

“Hmmm… I don’t know. Maybe 500?”

“Try adding another 0 to that,” he said laughing at me.

FWIW, I am only responsible for generating 387 text messages and 337 picture messages. The rest are my Google calendar alerts and Twitter notifications. =P

I’m really glad we have unlimited messaging. Otherwise, this phone bill could have easily been over $500. Yikes!
