My Frye Harness 12Rs arrived today. I’d read that they run large and to order a half size smaller. The problem I had was that I could not find them in stock in size 5.5 anywhere for a reasonable price. Thank God for eBay!

I won the auction with a final price less than half what the boots would have cost me at the store. That was on Sunday and they arrived today. The transaction couldn’t have gone any smoother. I love, love, love my new Fryes! 🙂

Brian and I Had to Work on Sunday

Posted on December 15, 2010 by under Life.

He was more focused than I was… I only lasted about an hour, hour and and a half or so before I turned my attention to coupons.

P.S. It occurred to me on Sunday that there are more laptops in this house than people. Brian and I have five laptops between the two of us. We used to have desktop PCs too, but we got rid of them. Even the tower that use to be connected to the TV is now retired. I miss Brian’s old one with all the movies, though. 🙁

Santa was at Cowtown the other day!

We got to watch the saloon girls perform.

We got to watch a Victorian social dance.

A couple of regulars at Suede actually volunteer at Old Cowtown Museum and are part of the Entre Nous Club, the museum’s Victorian dance troupe.

Brian and I had so much fun at Cowtown that we are thinking of returning in a couple of weeks. Except, we want to go during the day next time. It was way too cold to be walking around outside the other night. How about December 27? What’s everyone doing on that day? Let’s all go to Cowtown!

Brian’s New Shoes

Posted on December 13, 2010 by under Wishlist.

Brian got his Christmas present early. 🙂

Actually, Brian and I told each other that we wouldn’t buy presents for each other this year because our New Year’s Eve trip to Las Vegas is supposed to be our Christmas. However, I did promise him that he could get his Vibram FiveFingers TREKSPORT shoes early so that he could bring them to Vegas and wear them on the trip. We had looked at them a few months ago at Backwoods and decided to wait. Brian got his day the other day. Merry Christmas, baby!

He got some matching Injinji because you can’t wear regular socks with FiveFingers. LOL. Here’s what the shoes look like on…

They look weird, don’t they? I’ve been seeing more and more people wearing them around town, though. There’s a guy who wears them to muscle pump at North YMCA and a woman who wears them to Zumba at the East branch.

This is Jay checking them out…

They came over for a nightcap the other night, after Becca won the 7:30 pm poker tournament at the Players Club. Congrats, Becca! We had some wine and cheese (our favorite kind) and Triscuits, and we gave them a couple of ornaments for their Christmas tree that we picked up at Old Cowtown Museum. I’ll try to post our Cowtown photos in the next couple of days so come back soon.

Ching’s Attire

Me, in my “ugly holiday sweater.” Blech. I looked really dorky, I know. I wonder how I ended up with such a good looking husband sometimes…
