Possibly More Than What I Bargained For

Posted on April 13, 2006 by under Babies.

You know how they say that you’re supposed to take your puppy out about once every two hours?  Well, that’s about right.  I thought I could sleep through the night with no problems.  No.  Molly starts crying almost every two hours.  As if on cue, she starts as soon as I’ve fallen asleep.  Her timing is impeccable.  So I get about a couple of minutes worth and then I have to get up again.  I don’t think I’ve had a wink of sleep tonight.  I don’t think I will either.  I’m so glad I’ve decided to take tomorrow off work.

Meet My New Puppy

It’s from The Poodle Palace. I know we were originally looking for a white Maltapoo but this is the next best thing. Even though this Yorkiepoo is more expensive than the Matapoo we looked at, I actually think things worked out better because black dogs are easier to keep clean.

We decided to name her Molly. We picked out her name on the way over. They’re located in Conway Springs, which is an hour away from where we live, so we had plenty of time to think about it.  Other names we considered were Bombay and Charlie (short for Charlize Theron). I know we originally picked out the name Angel but that was when we thought we were going to get a white puppy. Angel didn’t seem right for a black puppy so we had to pick out a different name.

Molly is offspring of Jordan, a Yorkie, and Thumper, a Toy Poodle, so she is half and half. She probably won’t get any bigger than 7 lbs at most. Anyway, I just wanted to share the good news with everyone. Stay tuned for more pictures!

I Guess It Wasn’t Meant to Be

I Just Want to Cry

We can’t seem to get our dream dog. I called Judy (the matapoo puppies lady) today and she only has one puppy left and it’s the runt of the litter. It is not eating and it’s only one pound. I don’t know if we’ll be able to get her because Brian and I have no experience caring for special needs dogs.

Anyway, I went to the PALS web site and there was nothing new there. I also went to the the Kansas Humane Society web site and found Sweat Pea. The web page says last updated on April 1 but we were actually too late. She had already been adopted!

I really got my hopes up and everything. What a cruel April Fool’s joke!
