Free Money for Poker
Posted on May 7, 2006 by Ching under Poker.
You all know how devoted I am to UB, right? Well, as of yesterday I’ve been playing on Party Poker. Why? Because they gave me $50 to start playing and I didn’t even have to make a deposit! I’m actually up to $83.01 now. It totally rocks!
Visit Freefiftydollars.com for instructions on how to do it. Remember to follow the instructions closely and don’t skip and steps to ensure that you receive your money. This is truly the best no deposit poker deal there is! I don’t know of any other poker room that is offering anything that even comes close.
When your money is ready, they will give you a call. Try to be patient as this can take up to five days. In my case, though, I got a call within a couple of hours of registration. I think that’s because I know how to follow directions. Just kidding!
It was so funny because Brian was just minding his own business playing WOW in the office when my phone rings. He didn’t recognize the number so he hangs up on them. Then he proceeds to come to the family room, where I am, and interrogate me.
He’s like, “Who’s call you from a 937 area code?”
“I have no idea,” I said. I didn’t realize they would call so quickly so it didn’t dawn on me at first.
“That’s not even a US area code. Is it?”
“Yeah, I think that’s in the US.” Then it dawns on me! “This could be my call for my free fifty dollars! Why did you hang up on them?”
I was totally worried that they wouldn’t give me my money because I didn’t pick up, but the message said my money was ready. I was totally stoked! I’m so excited that I’m actually trying to get Brian to join, but I think he already has an account with Party Poker. He might have set it up back in the Le Blanc days. Jason used to play on Party Poker a lot. Now I know why he was making so much money playing. Players on Party Poker are a lot looser than UB players.
Anyway, I don’t know how long this offer is good for so my suggestion is to sign up now and start making money playing poker!
P.S. Don’t forget to put C1030 in the referred by field so that I get a little bonus also. 😉

That much closer to 500K!
Posted on May 6, 2006 by Brian under Poker.
I can’t believe it. Me, the guy that gets knocked out before break and never wins anything beat out 1400 plus people to win a seat at a 1 million dollar tourney. I played my best poker ever tonight and I myself could not believe it. I thought I was going to have a heart attack during the last 60 some odd people. Then when it was down to the last 5 I thought I was going to piss my pants. Ching was griping the back of my chair trying to tell me to “go all in, fold, just call, your in position”. It was stressful; I couldn’t believe how much I was stressing. I was sweating my ass off I was so nervous. But I did it, I got my seat. Now the only problem is the dammed tourney is on Saturday the 13th. So either it will be one game that they will have everyone at or it will be several small games that will culminate into one game for the big prize. I’m hoping that it will not be during the party, otherwise we will be loading UB on Ching’s parent’s computer and I will be playing while everyone else is partying.ÂÂ

Proof That Jen Eats

Contrary to popular belief that Jen never eats, she actually does. This photo is proof of it. How she manages not to gain weight is the million dollar question.
Anyway, Brian and I decided to take Jen and Ray up on their brunch invitation despite our current broke financial state. You all know I can’t turn down Legends. Incidentally, Legends has all you can eat fajitas every Thursday so that would be a good day for you all to check them out. Sundays are great too because that’s when they have champagne brunch. Brunch isn’t brunch without mimosas!
But I digress. If we were broke before brunch, we are even more so now. To top it off, Brian wanted PF Chang’s for dinner. On the plus side, I get to eat PF Chang’s leftovers tomorrow. And Brian gets paid on Wednesday.
So even though we’re not in great shape financially at this particular moment. We are not completely destitute. Although, we missed our regular Sunday night poker home game.
Chinaman kind of threw us of our schedule last week. Then we are broke this week. That, and I needed to do some school work anyway. So it was all for the best. As soon as school lets out we should be playing poker regularly again.

Comedy Show

Chinaman was really good on Sunday. I can’t speak for the others but I was thoroughly entertained. We owe Misty big time for getting us all in. All forty of us. She rocks!
Anyway, we ran into Andy while we were there. It’s been over two years. He’s the one who got me started on playing poker at Ultimate Bet. The ironic thing is he doesn’t even play poker anymore. Isn’t it funny how things turn out?

TGIF
Posted on April 7, 2006 by Brian under Poker.
Thank god it’s Friday. I can’t believe the weekend if finally here. I have been depressed all week long and I don’t know why. I know that I have nothing to be depressed about, I have a wonderful life. I have a beautiful and loving wife, a great job a roof over my head and a loving family. However, I am still depressed! Maybe I just need a little “tongue tickle”, you know the old “Polish the helmet”, “Play the skin flute”……get the picture.ÂÂ
Anyway, Tonight is poker night. We do our usual APL poker thing and I get made fun of some more because I play sensible poker and get knocked out incredibly early instead of the yahoos that play stupid crazy monkey poker and win the whole thing. Then I have to look forward to this weekend when we will be meeting complete and total strangers that my wife met on the internet (can you sense my enthusiasm). It may turn out to be fun and we will for sure have a good time (it’s hard not to around my wife and I, were nuts!). But I digress, I am at work and now have to go back to actually working, so stay tuned and I will update you on how this weekend goes.ÂÂ
