This year was even more fun than <a href=\"http:\/\/brubakers.us\/?p=6659\"  title=\"Party on the Plaza - Oktoberfest 2011\">last year<\/a> because we somewhat knew what to expect.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/8013645591\/\"  title=\"2012-09-22 18.58.40.jpg by Ching, on Flickr\"><img src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8438\/8013645591_987dc1a85a.jpg\" width=\"480\" class=\"pic\" alt=\"2012-09-22 18.58.40.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our group, which consisted of Mel and her husband Toby, Janet and her husband Brian, Janet&#8217;s sister Angie and her husband Phil, and Sister Rose Therese, had a great time with the auction paddles &#8211; not so much bidding on the lavish live auction items, but taking photos of one another with the paddles. What a creative idea! Kudos to whoever came up with it.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/8014015670\/\"  title=\"Party on the Plaza - Oktoberfest 2012 by Ching, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8296\/8014015670_d4a2b8aaeb.jpg\" class=\"pic\" width=\"480\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Party on the Plaza - Oktoberfest 2012\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We had a lively, fun group. We even participated in some German drinking songs. And by participate, I don&#8217;t mean sing along, because I don&#8217;t know any of the words (despite how many times they repeated each song). We just all raised our beer steins and swayed from side to side like a bunch of merry fools. Of course, the beer was abundant and flowed freely. What&#8217;s there not to be happy about?
