You’ll never believe who Brian and I saw on TLC’s A Dating Story<\/font><\/a> yesterday.\u00c2\u00a0 I think it might have been a repeat because he looked very much like he did in 2001 and I don’t think I looked like I did a couple of years ago (people’s physical appearances change over time, that’s nature), which leads me to believe that it was definitely one of the older episodes re-run.\u00c2\u00a0 It was none other than Jack Murnighan<\/font><\/a> of Nerve.com<\/font><\/a> fame.\u00c2\u00a0 They set him up with Marie Claire’s eligible bachelorette of the year.\u00c2\u00a0 Which year?\u00c2\u00a0 That I don’t know because I don’t read Marie Claire (I probably will when I turn 30 but right now I don’t)..\u00c2\u00a0 My bet is that it was 2001.<\/p>\n

What upset me (nothing to do with the show folks, the episode was abosultely delightful which is more than I can say for Shipmates<\/font><\/a> my guilty pleasure) is that when I saw him it reminded me of The Naughty Bits<\/font><\/a> (Jack’s book that I own) and when I thought of that I thought of my other Nerve.com book, Full Frontal Fiction<\/font><\/a> (I had it in hardcover too, “had” being the operative word), which I had stolen from my bookshelf at work.\u00c2\u00a0 It just magically disappeared.\u00c2\u00a0 I looked up there one day and it was gone.\u00c2\u00a0 The sad part is I don’t even know how long it had been missing.\u00c2\u00a0 At least I’m not as psychotic as I once was.\u00c2\u00a0 That event would have triggered a full-blown nervous breakdown.\u00c2\u00a0 Ask Brian.\u00c2\u00a0 I had to tell myself several times, “It’s just a book.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s just a book.” But I was able to calm down and get on with my life.. err, with my day.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I was seriously thinking of selling out again and adding a commenting system to the blog.\u00c2\u00a0 I found Haloscan<\/font><\/a> (it seemed like a pretty good commenting system) via theharpoon.net<\/font><\/a> and I really seriously thought about it.\u00c2\u00a0 But then I realized how much I hate getting flamed.\u00c2\u00a0 At least this way when someone flames me I’m the only who sees it, instead of it being out there for the whole world to read.\u00c2\u00a0 Yeah, I don’t much like being ridiculed for my stupid, outlandish opinions either.\u00c2\u00a0 This is my blog, I’m entitled to it.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
