It was complete mayhem in Old Town this weekend. Everyone was out for Final Friday and they had some sort of Cinco de Mayo celebration going on. The open area in front of the Museum of World Treasures was closed off for the celebration, which severely diminished the already scarce parking.<\/p>\n

This is a view of the space I’m taking about early in the evening, before people actually started piling in. I took this photo from IMG\/Tangent Lab’s new rooftop patio.<\/p>\n

We were at Tangent Lab for the Scion Art Tour. We went last year and got some neat goodies<\/a> (the FREE Scion socks Brian got are still his favorite — when he’s not wearing his Injinjis for his Vibram Five Fingers) so we wanted to make sure and stop by again this year. Brian even RSVP’d.<\/p>\n

The goodie bags were slightly better this year because they used reusable gift bags. Brian got two new pairs of the Scion socks because he got the one from my goodie bag also. They threw in gray ones this time. There was the usual stuff in there: CDs, brochures, earphones.<\/p>\n

The only other place we visited was Shopkeeper’s Gallery because we wanted to say hi to Mark and check out his new toy<\/a>. It’s some kind of musical oscillator gadget. I found out later from Darcy that one of the galleries on Commerce Street had some Cocoa Dolce. I wish we would have gone there too. We’ll have to check out those out next month.<\/p>\n
