Here I am in this phone training class at work. It truly blows! It is so boring and so very simple. I can not believe that it takes two weeks to go threw this class. I guess I shouldn’t complain, I’m not on the phone all day listening to customers bitch about not being able to pay the cable bill and crying because we are going to shut off their cable and they will miss their favorite soaps (oh yes, it happens! Full grown women crying like a baby thinking it will make a difference, I’m not that nice.) Right now we are doing order entry, learning how to set up the services, add install charges and port numbers. Its not that difficult its just that theirs a lot to remember. I have been making several notes since I learned yesterday that their are certain things that we can do that will actually get us fired. One of which was, if we quote another carriers prices (like, SBC Long Distance, or Vonage or something like that) we are actually breaking the law. That is grounds for immediate termination, since Cox gets fined for the offence as well. That explains a lot since we have been loosing people right and left lately. But I made a note of it so It shouldn’t be a problem. Well its almost time for lunch and this is when I will call my wife and tell her that I blogged on her site (she’ll be so excited since I don’t blog that much at all).
