In the meantime, I want to share some pics from one of our last lunch adventures. <\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/53073443689\/\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53073443689_841b376707_c.jpg\" width=\"500\" alt=\"Untitled\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We recently went to check out Forge ICT, a restaurant that took over the old District Taqueria space. <\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/53072674707\/\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53072674707_6374a6dc36.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Untitled\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They added some drapes on the front entry\/windows but, other than that, not much has changed with the interior. It still looks very much like how it did when it was District Taqueria. <\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/53072674702\/in\/photostream\/\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53072674702_9b204691dd_c.jpg\" width=\"500\" alt=\"Untitled\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The menu, however, is quite different. The new restaurant is more upscale and serves steaks instead of tacos.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/53073443684\/in\/photostream\/\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53073443684_f761018ac1_c.jpg\" width=\"500\" alt=\"Untitled\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition, they have a great selection of mocktails because refraining from drinking alcoholic beverages is fashionable these days.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/53072675387\/in\/photostream\/\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53072675387_b4e4b3ae78.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Untitled\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Chris and I started with some crab cakes followed by our respective lunch entrees.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/53073757923\/in\/photostream\/\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53073757923_bf08339af0.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Untitled\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He had the tomahawk pork chop while I had the grilled chicken picatta.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/53073444399\/in\/photostream\/\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/53073444399_16ea9481b2.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Untitled\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Overall, the food was good but the prices aren&#8217;t cheap. I think I&#8217;ve gotten spoiled because I can have a $5 lunch at Rain on taco Tuesdays. I would say Forge is a place where you go to have a nice lunch or dinner where you don&#8217;t really care how much your lunch is costing you. It&#8217;s not an everyday lunch place. Let&#8217;s just put it that way. That said, I really miss the District Taqueria lunch special. LOL.  Alas, it is gone and it is what it is.
