It had been years since we’ve been to a laundromat. Within five minutes, we realized why. If it hadn’t been for our dryer starting to mark clothes with rust, we wouldn’t have been there today. What a day to be at the laundromat, too! It was one of the coldest days we’ve had in weeks. That’s our luck, though.<\/p>\n

We picked Spring Clean Laundromat<\/a> located on Lincoln and Webb because Brian’s dad knows the owner (Perry) and it has open WiFi (that’s a must for us). It’s probably the biggest and best laundromat I’ve ever been in. It had a couple of flat screen TVs, a lounge area, a special play area for children, and an aquarium built into the wall. As laundromats go, it’s pretty nice.<\/p>\n

It was busy today despite the cold weather. Unruly children were running around everywhere. I think that is the main turn off for Brian. The main turn off for me is that there is only one bathroom. I initially thought that was a design flaw but, as well thought out the facility is (with WiFi, the aquarium, security cameras), I figured that was probably intentional so that homeless people don’t try to live there.<\/p>\n

Anyway, Brian and I decided that we will do laundry at my mom and dad’s next weekend so we don’t have to go to a laundromat. No matter how nice it is, it’s still a laundromat. Unless you go at 2:00 AM on Sunday morning, there’s no way to avoid people and unruly children. Although, having to go somewhere to do laundry is extremely inconvenient so I’m thinking that we will probably do our best to save some money, bite the bullet, and buy ourselves a new washer and dryer in a couple of months or so. Anyone got a washer and dryer that they don’t need anymore?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
