The celebrities who competed this year were Eric Fisher (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ericfishersalon.com\"  target=\"_blank\">Eric Fisher Salon &#038; Academy<\/a>), Andrew Gough (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.reverieroasters.com\"  target=\"_blank\">Reverie Coffee Roasters<\/a>), Mike Grbic (<a href=\"http:\/\/mikegrbic.com\"  target=\"_blank\">Select Homes<\/a>), Dr. Patricia McDonnell (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wichitaartmuseum.org\"  target=\"_blank\">Wichita Art Museum<\/a>), Lela Meadow-Conner (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tallgrassfilmfest.com\"  target=\"_blank\">Tallgrass Film Festival<\/a>), Sierra Scott (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BrettandSierraShow\/\"  target=\"_blank\">The Brett &#038; Sierra Show<\/a>), Dr. Anthony Vizzini (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wichita.edu\"  target=\"_blank\">Wichita State University<\/a>), and Aaron Wirtz (<a href=\"http:\/\/curvebreak.com\"  target=\"_blank\">CurveBreak<\/a>). The chefs were Paul Freimuth (<a href=\"http:\/\/wichita.regency.hyatt.com\/en\/hotel\/dining\/HARVESTKitchenBar.html\"  target=\"_blank\">Harvest Kitchen<\/a>), Ben George (Savor at <a href=\"http:\/\/intrustbankarena.com\"  target=\"_blank\">Intrust Bank Arena<\/a>), Paul Guerrero (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yayaswichita.com\"  target=\"_blank\">Ya Ya&#8217;s Euro Bistro<\/a>), Jeremiah Harvey (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.candleclubwichita.com\"  target=\"_blank\">Candle Club<\/a>), Luciano Mottola (<a href=\"http:\/\/restaurantlucianos.com\/\"  target=\"_blank\">Luciano&#8217;s<\/a>), Jeremey Pacacha (<a href=\"https:\/\/spiritwichita.catertrax.com\"  target=\"_blank\">Eurest Dining Services<\/a>), Jennifer Reifschneider (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kansasstarcasino.com\/\"  target=\"_blank\">Kansas Star Casino<\/a>), and Jeremy Wade (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sienawichita.com\"  target=\"_blank\">Siena Tuscan Steakhouse<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/27642898436\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"   title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/c5.staticflickr.com\/8\/7345\/27642898436_2368bbb1b5.jpg\" width=\"500\" class=\"pic\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Untitled\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The teams were announced just shortly before the cooking commenced. Our friend Aaron was paired with Ya Ya&#8217;s Paul Guerrero.  It was a great pairing. They ended up taking first place. Second place went to the team of Dr. McDonnell and Candle Club&#8217;s Jeremiah Harvey. Sierra Scott and Siena&#8217;s Jeremy Wade finished in third.<\/p>\n<p>There seemed to be fewer tasting tables this year than last year but it was still a fantastic even overall. Kudos to the organizers. Brian and I love this event. It&#8217;s one of our favorites. We were really bummed the year that <a href=\"http:\/\/brubakers.us\/?p=11627\" >we celebrated Brian&#8217;s 40th birthday in the Dominican Republic<\/a> because we missed the cookoff that year.<\/p>\n<p>I hope we get to go again next year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brian and I had a great time at the Celebrity &#038; Chef Cookoff last week.
