We had dinner at Freddy&#8217;s again because when we went there last Sunday, she didn&#8217;t get to have funnel cake. This time she had her funnel cake first. I really should have objected because, as expected, she had no room for her bacon cheeseburger after that. Anyway, this just validates  my decision not to have children. I think I&#8217;m a decent friend\/big sister, but I would make a terrible mom.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/19852476698\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/546\/19852476698_1a22fe4d81.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" class=\"pic\" alt=\"Untitled\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Nickira and I went to see Big Fish at Century II. It was awesome. I think I enjoyed it more than she did, though. She kind of fell asleep during the mostly talking parts. We got popcorn and skittles during intermission and she was fine after that.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZcH99JFjbD8?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I just love <a href=\"mtwichita.org\" target=\"new\">Music Theatre Wichita<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/brubakers.us\/?p=11807\" >Last year Nickira and I went to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat<\/a>, and Brian and I got to see West Side Story. They were both very good. Big Fish was great, too. I&#8217;m looking forward to seeing Hello Dolly with Brian. Each year and each show just gets better and better. We are so lucky to have fantastic shows here in Wichita.<\/p>\n<p>The previous week we went swimming at the Andover YMCA water park. That&#8217;s another thing we are blessed with &#8212; we have the best YMCA facilities in the nation here in Wichita. The water parks at the YMCA are super cool. Kira and I had a great time going down the slides (both of them) and floating along the lazy river.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/19613414126\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/317\/19613414126_8c0f629927.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" class=\"pic\" alt=\"Untitled\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Before that we attended the Sundaes on Sunday event at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office. This is Kira&#8217;s sundae creation.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/19632553332\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/346\/19632553332_2a30a98f69.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" class=\"pic\" alt=\"Untitled\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>I kept mine pretty basic.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/19451560418\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3786\/19451560418_8b57a38499.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" class=\"pic\" alt=\"Untitled\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Anyway, it was really cool because we got to play games with other matches. We played <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00112CHCK\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B00112CHCK&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=lifeafter-20&#038;linkId=WRQSGFPEBZ2GWK27\" >Apples to Apples<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=lifeafter-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B00112CHCK\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> (one of my favorite games) first and then we played <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00004TZY8\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B00004TZY8&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=lifeafter-20&#038;linkId=MTYYNDYH75EENAEP\" >Uno<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=lifeafter-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B00004TZY8\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0000205XI\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B0000205XI&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=lifeafter-20&#038;linkId=H5KIPNFIALLCTE64\" >Skip Bo<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=lifeafter-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B0000205XI\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>. I&#8217;d never played those two card games before.  <\/p>\n<p>I had so much fun I ended up ordering both that day from Amazon. They were less than $10 each and relatively inexpensive as games go.  It worked out great because we got to play Uno with grandma on Saturday when Brian fixed us lunch at the house. We also played Uno with Kira before going to Big Fish on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/18588558043\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/399\/18588558043_ca98306659.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" class=\"pic\" alt=\"Untitled\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The time before that we got to do some watercolor painting. It&#8217;s fun for just the two of us to hang out but sometimes it&#8217;s even more fun when we get to do stuff with others. For instance, <a href=\"http:\/\/brubakers.us\/?p=12029\" >we&#8217;ve been to Roller City a few times now<\/a>. While it&#8217;s fun every time, I think <a href=\"http:\/\/brubakers.us\/?p=12457\" >the time that we went with Faith and her kids and Eleanor and Peter and Ella was way more fun even though it was in the middle of what seemed like a blizzard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/17083482948\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  title=\"IMG_1973.MOV\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8799\/17083482948_2e8a20d70a.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" alt=\"IMG_1973.MOV\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>One of my most favorites times we&#8217;ve hung out that I haven&#8217;t shared with you guys is when we were learning Zumba routines. The video above is of Eleanor practicing one of her songs and Nickira was learning it with her.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ching\/17073095310\/in\/photostream\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  title=\"Untitled\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8808\/17073095310_2fc8b4d4bc.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" class=\"pic\" alt=\"Untitled\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Nickira and I have now been matched over a year and, more than just being a rewarding experience, it&#8217;s been really fun. For those of you who have the time to spare, I highly recommend volunteering with <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kansasbigs.org\" >Big Brothers Big Sisters<\/a>. There are several kids waiting for matches.
