Here’s a photo that Pia sent me.<\/p>\n

This was taken last weekend when they hung out together. Pia is on the left and Sheryll is on the right. Pia lives in Concord, close to San Francisco. I haven’t seen her since our wedding day so it has been six years.<\/p>\n

It’s been even longer since I’ve seen Sheryll. The last time I saw Sheryll was when I went to visit the Philippines in 1998<\/a>. That was before she met Clay. She and Clay live in China now with their three kids. They are currently in the US visiting Clay’s parents who live in Santa Rosa, which is about two hours from San Francisco. Thus, she and Pia are able to get together pretty easily. Unfortunately, I get left out because I’m stuck here in Kansas. Ugh.<\/p>\n

I’m sure they’ll be back for another visit, though. I will get to see her next time.<\/p>\n

Speaking of friends visiting… Richard was in town recently. We met him and and his friends for dinner at Hana Cafe the other night. I took the pictures above. He seems to be doing really well in Texas and is part of a salsa group called Strictly Street Salsa<\/a>. I thought I’d give their web site a plug. Here’s his instructor profile<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We’ve got two more trips planned (besides the Haloween poker cruise in October) in the coming months: visit San Francisco in December (or whenever Sheryll’s next trip is) and also visit Houston at some point so Richard can show us around his hood.
