Ladder Golf Weekend

We played a lot of ladder golf this weekend. =P
We played it at the Phelpi during their wiener party, where the Blue Bombers (Jay and Hal) reigned the entire time.
Everyone tried, but the Blue Bombers could not be stopped.
Ronnie (who I’m told is good at EVERYTHING) finally got them in the end, but it took him a while. He had to learn how to play and hone his technique.
Check out Jay, all serious-like. =P
Here’s Cory, half of Phelpi. Not sure if he’s the better or lesser half. =P
When it got too dark to play ladder golf, it was time for Apples to Apples.
After Apples to Apples they started a poker tourney, which I opted out of — I was super tired. I had been up since six o’clock in the morning. I zonked out sometime after midnight. It was two thirty in the morning by the time Brian and I got home. I can’t believe we spent nine hours at the Phelpi. (Of course, I spent the first hour to hour and a half making French fries.) I’m pretty sure we overstayed our welcome.
The ladder golf continued the next day at my mom and dad’s. We just couldn’t get enough of it! =P
There, Brian was the champion. He was undefeated until the very end.
We all tried to beat Brian in vain.
Dad finally got him in an epic battle to the finish.
The first match between Brian and dad ended up in a tie-breaker. Brian won the tie-breaker round pretty easily. I had to give him a hard time for not letting dad win. Not even on Father’s Day!
Dad, who is pretty competitive but tries to down play his competitiveness, played another round right after that one. It was the best rematch ever. They were head-to-head and toe-to-toe the entire time. They were only one point apart for the entire game, with one or the other taking turns being in the lead.
A couple of times, Brian would land his ball then dad would knock it off and land his ball and then Brian would knock dad’s ball off and then dad would knock Brian’s ball off. It was intense and super fun to watch.
I really like our portable ladder golf game. It’s super fun! The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s kind of flimsy. In fact, ours is broken already.
I prefer the wooden kind that we got dad for Christmas last year. It’s a lot sturdier.
When I have some extra money, I’m going to invest in the real deal. Then we can get rid of our cheap, generic ladder golf set. Then again, one of you guys could buy it for me for my birthday. (Hint! Hint!)
