The Blendtec Blender is my Dream Blender

Posted on November 7, 2010 by under Wishlist.

While at Sam’s Club today, Brian and I got to watch the Blendtec sales rep do a demo. Holy cow! That blender is awesome! I was completely blown away. I told Brian that we needed to pawn all of our crappy kitchen appliances so we could buy one. LOL.

Brian told me that Blendtec makes the blender that they use for Will it Blend? I guess I’d been living under a rock because I didn’t know that the general public could buy those blenders.

Check out the YouTube video below where they blend an iPad. Wow.

Incidentally, I almost won an iPad this week at the Social Media Customer Response Summit. Our friends at 3CSI who sponsored casino night on Wednesday raffled off an iPad on Thursday morning at the conference. I was only one number off (last three digits of 840 vs. 841). Booo! Barry from CellularSouth ended up winning it.

If my fairy godmother decided to send me an iPad, I promise that I won’t throw it in a blender and pulverize it. Please, please, please let me win it next time!

So I found your post because I work for Blendtec and try to keep an eye on what’s being said out there. Hope you won’t mind my commenting (the last thing I’d want to do is come off as a spammer) but I had to laugh when I read the “pawn all of our crappy kitchen appliances” bit.

Speaking personally, I’ve gone through almost 700 blend cycles at home since I got to bring a blender home in May. I can honestly say it’s the only appliance that stays my countertop anymore. Last night I made a big batch of banana bread that required me to lug my Kitchenaid out of storage for the first time in ages, and even then it was only because the recipe was so huge. The blender would have handled a single-loaf batch just fine.

Anyway, I might be atypical since working there probably gives me a little extra enthusiasm. But for what it’s worth, had I realized how much I’d love my blendtec, I would have sold everything else years ago. Good luck, and I hope you can get both your blendtec and your iPad sooner than later! 🙂

d’oh! I forgot my email address changed. Not that you’d necessarily email me, but if you do for whatever reason, use this one.

Hi, Velda! Thanks for stopping by the blog and spamming us. Just kidding! Friendly comments are always welcome and I’m glad that you found my little comment amusing.

BTW, my friend Jay said that I should mention that the founder of Ladder Golf sent me a free Ladder Golf game after blogging about their product. He said to tell you that if you send me a free Blendtec blender then we can see if my Ladder Golf set “will blend” – LOL!
